Stuck in the lakes !! 🙁

We have just started our journey to do NC 500 and stopped off in Lake District … 2nd day in van and we have a problem. Our water pump is working as we can hear it but no water pressure and sometimes no water coming out taps or shower. …. If it comes out it’s very very low pressure.

Thinking we may need to get a mobile man out to fix but we are up against the weekend .

ps. Tap has to be on ages before water finally comes out … and it’s gurgling.

Try attaching a short length of hose to a tap ( open the tap)and sucking the water up to clear any air locks.
It does work if there is too much air in the pipework.
Works like syphon effect.

If it’s a submersible pump, open the fresh water cap at the top of the tank.
Get someone to turn on a tap, put your hand in the tank and move the pump around and gently knock it on the inside of the tank a few times.
Sometimes these types of pumps need waking up if not used for a while.

Morning everyone

Success !! We were up bright and early. We drained water tank and opened big red stopper thing and discovered the hose had come detached from the pump and was hoovering just above it. So all sorted now .

Thank you for everyone last night coming on site to offer suggestions.

This is wifey texting so excuse terminology .
