Would anyone know where I might get a replacement led for my strikeback alarm that has stopped working the other four are all working fine

No! You pay £40 to get support.
Then you buy the part (led) @ £35 from vanbits , it’s not the price of the part I was questioning here.
When I bought the van (used) I had to pay to transfer the tracker and alarm over to myself. And had to pay an annual fee on top of that, for what turned out to be very indifferent support as when a 6 year old system went wrong they simply wanted to sell me a complete new system. I went with Vanbitz as I know that the support for myself and subsequent owners is good and it is also made clear that a transfer fee is payable to subsequent owners. £40 for support for a van that can cost up to six figures is good value. You obviously think that it isn’t, so how do you think it should be done?

How strange, that’s all I was asking I’m surprised vanbits did not say that in the first instance so a charge is mentioned in your blurb and on the website, but as Eddie says on here, no charge now I’m totally confused😥
I am starting to think that I am being :reel:

Buy a motorhome with a Strikeback or a Growler installed there is no fee payable to Van Bitz

If the new owner requires a service from us and we will charge the new owner.

Want to know up front what will happen "if" and "when" you sell the motorhome (not sure why you would care?)

This is one the FAQ's https://www.vanbitz.com/wp-content/...nstalled-by-Van-Bitz-what-do-I-need-to-do.pdf

This is in the Handbook you are given on the day of installation

"Van Bitz warrants Growler for the whole period that the motorhome is owned by the customer who purchased the system. The warranty is not transferable to a third party if the motorhome is sold."

And this is also in the handbook, given to EVERY customer on the day that they have Strikeback or Growler installed

"
Question:

I have just bought a van with Strikeback fitted. I would like to know a lot more about the system. Can I telephone Van Bitz and find out more about the system?

Answer:

In a word NO! If you buy a motorhome and it has a Strikeback system installed by us, then a registration process has to be followed before we will give you any technical assistance at all. This is not to be awkward, but to protect the interests of our customer. It is possible to transfer the registration thereby allowing access to technical telephone assistance, spares and of course documentation (insurance certificates for example). You will need our customers name and address and a copy of the V5 (known as a log book). There is an admin charge of £40.00
(at the time of printing December 2020)"

Not sure what else we can do to be honest?

OK use your words

A "new" customer has the "choice" to pay a one off fee of £40 for unlimited technical support should they feel they would like it.

I’m a top grade ADI (advanced driving instructor) and have been for 22yrs.
I gave up many years ago having to justify what my hourly rate is.
Now if I get questioned I just say you might be better looking elsewhere.

I only work with recommendations so 95% of parents already know what I charge before they contact me.
Don’t feel like you have to justify what you charge, a good reliable service is worth paying for.
