Would anyone know where I might get a replacement led for my strikeback alarm that has stopped working the other four are all working fine

I have asked but they require me to register the van with them before they will assist .
Think they said the fee would be £40
I only want one small led bulb

You will find lots available on Fleabay,

but registering is as much a security thing as well as support, I. E. it will get you support if you lose the master override or need further advice in a hurry or an emergency.

I would recommend registering it. The support you will get in an emergency is second to none from all the reports I have seen on here and witnessed twice myself.

I think when you have the alarm fitted you get a choice of what and where-position wise!
Registering is sensible!

Which type do you want? We've had loads of different types over the last 33 years, and when we sell you the wrong one and it 'pops' straight away, and we refuse to send you another to blow up, that will be wrong as well

Our loyalty is to.our customers, and how many alarm installers can provide back up on systems installed up to 30 years ago?

Thank you for clarifying that

What do you get for investing £40?
Surely a user manual can be downloaded free from their website
We verify ownership, to protect our customers interest, we duplicate both the paper installation notes re filing in the new owners name, along with duplication of the electronic records, then we offer unlimited free telephone assistance, along with providing updated insurance certificates for the new owners, none of which is on Premium telephone lines

Given that we have systems dating back decades, how many times should we be expected to offer a free of charge ownership change and reissue insurance documentation? Five, Six, Seven, Ten times?

Yes you can download instructions FOC from our website FOC as well and not pay

I suppose loyalty always comes at a cost 👍🏻

£40 For registering it and peace of mind and unlimited support! On a van thats worth tens of thousands of pound. Surely from an insurance point of view should anything happen and questions were asked regarding the alarm in the case of a claim.I think it's worth it but maybe thars just me??

In my case the one flashing light does not stop the alarm going off its just the fact I never noticed it until now

I woz robbed. I've only got three on mine, front back and by the hab door. Must get around to registering mine. I saw it in the handbook when I bought the van and then forgot about it.
You haven't yet . wait until you need a replacement £35

But stops when they sell the van with your”product” fitted 👍
Er no we carry on trying to protect your interests.
Well it sounds like the security is abandoned unless you pay an additional fee to what the original owner paid at point of installation.
Unless I have misunderstood and there is a maintenance charge made clear upon purchase?
We insist on seeing a copy of the V5 vehicle registration document before we’ll allow a new owner to register with us.

Ah, or do you mean we don’t give a shit about random Mr Smiths security only Mrs Jones, the person that paid us, our customers security issues?

If that is what you mean, your right, some random phoning up wanting spare radio keys, and asking “exactly what’s fitted” and “is there an immobiliser” get directed to our ‘new owner’ section of our web site.

It is the new owner responsibility to prove they now own the vehicle
