Currently using ID mobile unlimited data and so far it’s worked everywhere we’ve been in Portugal and Spain, watch several live football matches with no issues. The difference is Starlink works!
No one has ever claimed it is cheap/cheaper/cheapest but unless you are underground it works. I spent April to October in a valley that had little or no 4G signal so used Starlink to "work from home", I doubt iD mobile have found a way to supply this cheap service where no other 4G signal exists?Still not as cheap as my iD mobile 250gb at £12:50 a month. I was getting super fast speeds in Portugal, Spain and France in October and it never skipped a beatThe difference is Starlink works!
I do some work online while away and never had an issue yetNo one has ever claimed it is cheap/cheaper/cheapest but unless you are underground it works. Well I'd love to see you make it work somewhere with no 4G signal as I've already explained, it would be truly enlightening. If it wasn't such a long thread I'd go back and see how many times people had banged on about their cheap SIM deal which is NOT what this thread is about.I do some work online while away and never had an issue yet

OMG, that price is high, we use unlimited Data, Text & PhoneSo, the solution (I hope) is a Starlink Roam order was placed today. £460 for the hardware, £95 per month for the service. I know some may consider this expensive but I will no longer need a data tariff SIM in the UK for the Netgear, nor will I need the Tiekom data SIM for between 5 and 8 months per year and I can knock back the Popit SIMs to 10Gig each, so the difference is not that great really.
So.
As we come up to the 60 days of the new contracts (tomorrow I think) with use out of country restrictions. Who is going to be the first to be cut off after 60 days?
Will they actually do that to higher fee paying customers.
I commented on Gaget's latest video on Starlink that he didn't mention the latest restrictions (60 days out of country) and received an email from him that my comment would be removed as I was giving false information and there was no restriction of use in Europe.
Interesting take on the new terms and conditions. lets see who's right.

sim by ID mobile for £12 a month, it is a two year contract, we have never had a problem roaming for three months in Europe, only once was it hard to get signal, and that was in Wales, I do have Antennae on the motorhome roof, also since swapping out the Netgear with GL.iNet GL-X3000 I have been getting over 500Mbps when there is G5 in the area, it's been so good we are going to get rid of Virgin at home, and installing GL.iNet GL-X3000 with unlimited Data, Text & Phone there to.
There's one every day!Absolutely your choice to use what you like! There are loads of threads on Fun for people looking to get recommendations for unlimited data which I’m sure would welcome your observations, insights and recommendations! This however is a Starlink thread!
Just to explain why some of us use starlink.OMG, that price is high, we use unlimited Data, Text & Phone

Just to explain why some of us use starlink.
I for example run a business that is entirely internet based. Going away and relying on 4G is stressful as you never know if the place you are going is a not spot. 4G is also less reliable than Starlink in my experience. Also Starlink is as fast as 5G.
That money I spend on Starlink is worth it's weight in gold to me.
Be interested to know if they require a Spanish bank account or credit card when switching.Me…
I’m swapping to Spain on Tuesday… wish me luck!
Sorry, but just to clarify, are you saying that the new t&c's have kicked in for you and your service terminated after 60 days, or you are expecting that to happen and so you'll pre-empt by switching to your Spanish account??Me…

Yes come on Carpmart. You are the sacrificial Starlink user How do we know if you’ll be cut off if you changeSorry, but just to clarify, are you saying that the new t&c's have kicked in for you and your service terminated after 60 days, or you are expecting that to happen and so you'll pre-empt by switching to your Spanish account??
Watching to see what happens before I commit to SL

Did the move go ok, what was the process and more importantly did they want a Spanish bank account and or credit card?Preemptive to prevent termination next week… we’ve been in Europe for over 100 days, the notice is two months old, my renewal date is 12th of every month and based on my escalated conversation with Starlinks CSM team, the terms will be applied. This all means I need to switch to a Spanish subscription from the UK one (have to set up as if I am a completely new user) to retain service.

Is that because they want a card where it's registered in Spain? At present I’m failing to be able to get a payment method to work!

Now that is not good, they never said anything when i contacted them about having to have payment details registered in Spain when moving as i clearly stated i just wanted to move it over as we only use it in Spain.I wish I knew. Support request seems to be being ignored and we are without service. Shut show at present.
It must be feasible, I know people who have houses in 2 or more countries and spend their time between them, it's not just a motorhome thing, you can only really be resident in one place though, I would have thought. A friends parents retired and lived 6 months in Canada and 6 months in the Bahamas, I guess they were probably still British residents.
SIM might be handy nowI wish I knew. Support request seems to be being ignored and we are without service. Shut show at present.
It’s a euro fund account with €5k in it…
