Not if you SORN at the end of the previous month, if you are daft enough to SORN part-way through and then want to use it again that same month then you will pay twice ... I suppose there are some muppets out there who'd get it wrong ... you're not one of them are you?

Only ever SORNed one vehicle in my life that was the wife's car when I couldn't be arsed to fix it.

When we were travelling in Morocco a very large British registered RV parked next to us, while having a nose around we noticed it had a French insurance vignette in the windscreen which was in date. The driver turned out to be French and really didn't want to talk to us, which made us wonder what the setup was! Did a DVLA check and found that the vehicle had been sorn and hadn't been MOT'd for years!
Wonder how the police would treat that if they were involved in an accident?!!

That's not fair!!!! I SORNed ours on Monday and we haven't had a cheque yet! (I assume you meant it arrived Friday! )

Sorned for the first time last winter and haave just done again. You can retax on line anytime so no point in taxing "just in case".
