Someone hit my van ,lot of damage ????

Parked my van near my house ,, a vehicle has come along during the night and hit the offside corner of my Adria , the garage door ripped off , side panels ripped away including insulation GRP and Plywood exposing interior ,, rear bumper smashed , who ever did it also smashed in my windscreen ??? WHY dont know who did it no witnesses ... must to have been a 4x4 or a truck ??????
Sussex Police not really interested ,


Only noticed it this afternoon , Oh Please!
Have contacted and informed insurance ??

I am very very angry just done 3500 miles across 9 countires in 6 weeks with no problems and my van gets bashed in outside my friggin home !!!

need some advice on repairs and how to proceed ,, im worried about the vans integrity

Its clear from the damage that some kind of vehicle hit offside rear corner low enough that the rear lights are undameged and then something on that vehicle was dragged a couple of 1.5 metres along the lower side of my van it penetrated at least 10cm into the body work , must have been a very solid bumper or something from a heavy truck , ?? How the windscreen got smashed I have no idea ,,malicious anger ,, or the hit on my was so heavy that it caused the windscreen to fracture ??? I reckon my whole van was shoved half a metre by the impact .

It could be worth asking Reliance , Nr Chichester ( 01243 940050 ) if they can recommend anyone or , although not in Sussex , www.motorhomebumpers.com , Canvey Island , repair damaged Motorhomes.

Your insurance company will usually advise where to go to get estimate and have repairs done.
Just going throught the same exercise on a smaller scale

Sorry to hear of the damaged caused to your motorhome.

Whilst not in Sussex as you requested, but Dorset, we have our van booked in with Mike from Go Solent Bodywork on Monday. He came recommended.

I will be able to give you a full evaluation / review of his work come Friday. Initial response from him has been favourable.

I am sure of you send him photos, he will be able to advise of he can repair / approx. costs

2009 , 43000 mile mint condition before this incident only had it since August

big black marks at bumper level 4m but damge itself is only 1.5 m long ,,,

its out side the next block of flats but there is no Video coverage from any of the buildings CCTV and none on the church opposite,,, definitely a hit and run , road is wide its baffling , what makes it worse is Sussex police cant be arsed ,say they will issue crime number

I have not made an accident claim for 35 years so thats my NCB buggered too

What is worse is i need the van soon as I am moving house to |swindon from sussex but will be using van for up to 3 months during conveyancing or I have to rent somewhere else now as im moving out of this temporary flat next week and that will cost me even more ,, also recently sold my car as I dont need one so its all double whammy

Not excusing it, I saw the CCTV of a lorry hitting one of our vehicles at work. The rear trailer swing got it all the way along and utterly trashed it. The driver never even knew it happened.

Its a dreadful thing to happen, a hit and run, makes you question why it has happened. Don't let it hurt too much, it's what insurance is for..

Stay positive , we claimed 3 years ago, our premium didn’t go up after a £4K claim against me , you might be surprised

We had a total loss a few years ago and our insurance hardly changed. With protected NCD you should not suffer much. However if you change insurance companies, that could be different.
