Hi Wombles,
Any news of a permanent discount for Funsters from the Solbio folks, now that Spring is here ?

I did ask before but think they have been busy setting up a network of UK stockists so searched around online & did find discount code WETHRIFT10 which takes 10% off at checkout on the Solbio website https://www.solbio.co.uk/ so hopefully that helps anyone wanting to buy now. I'll post again if we do manage to get a specific ongoing discount code for Funsters or if any other offers from their Facebook pages.

UPDATE: Will add more detail when time allows but in brief having used Solbio for two weeks for both the toilet & grey waste tank we are now big fans! Also spotted latest 10% discount code TOUR10 which may be helpful to anyone wanting to try this - it's free delivery if spending over £35 so maybe pal up with a friend.

UPDATE - bit more info. about our experience using Solbio so far in case it is helpful to anyone considering this product:

The container is very tough & didn't leak (even when dropped ) & easy to dose with two quick pushes. We did decant the liquid into a plastic bottle (see post #24) which worked well with the lid being an accurate 40ml measure Whilst the container is fully recyclable on parts of the continent it isn't in the UK so would encourage the manufacturer to consider a simple but recyclable plastic bottle "eco" option as whilst the packaging is attractive & works well the waste generated may be concerning for us here.
We meant to use the Solbio as a cassette tank cleaner before first using it but ran out of time & it still worked well right from the first use. Top tip is after emptying & rinsing the cassette, to add a little water then Solbio then give it a good shake so all parts of the interior are covered before putting the cassette back into position. Once home we also used it instead of cassette tank cleaner which worked well too - just the standard 40ml was enough for a regularly cleaned tank but maybe increase that up to 80ml if needed.
Putting a good splash (not too much as it froths a lot) down the plug holes followed by a good amount of water to rinse reduced smell from the pipes & travelling with that in the grey waste tank gave that a good clean too with grey waste tank smell eliminated - we are hopeful that with regular use there will be no smelly pipes anymore either but so far it's greatly reduced.
The liquid does darken with age but that doesn't affect usage - just give it a gentle shake before using but not too much as it froths easily.
The scent of the essential oils in Solbio is pleasant when using the cassette tank but slight & not overpowering.
For us this one natural product now replaces our previous green toilet tablets, cassette tank cleaner & grey waste treatment so we are very happy to have found this product & that endorsements from fellow Funsters made us give it a go!

For general & toilet cleaning (as a spray to reduce rinsing) we do use diluted Bio D Sanitiser https://biod.co.uk/shop/household-cleaning/bio-d-home-garden-sanitiser-750ml/ which is also eucalyptus oil based so no clash of smells & it does not affect the performance of Solbio.

Can someone confirm if the use of Solbio and the bacteria makes the resultant waste less toxic than chemical alternatives? Someone suggested that to be the case but not actually read it anywhere official.
