So what is the law on gatherings?

I read the whole of irnbru post plus the gov.uk website and if we class ourselves as a club then I would read it that we could meet in a group no larger than 30 in a venue , be it a field or hall but would need to practice SD. If you socialiased in one another’s Motorhomes though you would need to choose your bubble perhaps to reduce your risk. If it was a hall you’d have to provide hand sanitizers , toilets, cleaning but not in a field.

A club I belong to is restarting in a hall on the 10th and there’s about 15 of us.
I was so slow I’ve just seen what Jim’s written so it may be changed.

But only if you haven’t already formed a bubble with, for example, other members of your family.

One cannot chose to have a bubble associated with your home and then form another bubble when away in your motorhome.

Very good point.

You can also meet in larger groups for weddings (from 1 August this will include sit-down wedding receptions),
All weddings havebeen cancelled after Fridays uturn

If you support West Ham you have as many bubbles as you like
No I can't get one, Kathy has had hospital appointments, she has not fully recovered, and she can't get one either
& yet they are offering them free at Peterborough-Not-a-show by all accounts?

So you both might never have had it. I was convinced we did when we returned from skiing early march but had an antibody test and none detected. I suspect there are lots out there in a similar situation.

Depending on which test you had, many are not accurate. The only one worth taking is an NHS one.

My understanding is that everyone is still supposed to be maintaining 1m+ when in the pub or in the pub garden.
Unfortunately round here they certainly are not....and then they spill out the pub in to the takeaway i work for en masse

Can't escape them ...ive literally had to tell people to back away then they look at you like you've 2 heads...

Friday and Saturdays here are horrendous

It was the NHS one with venous blood. I think the symptoms of covid are so similar to proper flu or a really bad cold ( which as a cold is a coronovirus isn't really that surprising) that there will be a lot out there who think they've had it and haven't and a lot who have had it and never noticed.
I think diagnosis on symptoms is pretty unreliable.

A doctor in the hospital where our daughter works tested positive early on with the antigen test. He has since had an antibody test and that was negative. Either one of the tests was wrong or the first was correct and the antibodies aren’t long lived.

What I had was nothing like flu, and Kathy still has not recovered, she has a hospital appointment this afternoon a d we both got it within 2 days, Kathy first a d me 2 days later. I have had a look at the tests out there and nothing is very reliable. If the NHS starts doing tests for the public I will get one, but not before.

Hope you both fully recover soon and wish you well

As part of an ongoing argument I have with Scottish Borders Council regarding our Hawick meet that was "Officially cancelled" See the circled info sent by Clair Ramage (SNP councillor)....FYI 5 households equal 16 folk in a group.

Same here nothing like flu, it was the inability to breathe properly which really frightened me, chest felt like it was being squeezed very hard.
Then waking up in HDU with a pumped full face oxygen mask on was terrifying as well.
Still have laboured breathing and am very lethargic, and get tired very easily.
Sue only had very mild symptoms and no further problems.
But at least i came out of the front door of the hospital, !!
Keep safe out there, and do whatever you fell happy with.
Joe
