All instructions come with the cake jars. My wife, Yvette, makes and sells them at craft fairs.
 
Morning all and HNY to everyone.

We have just left - sorry for not coming round to say goodbye but Cliff’s manflu is in full blown mode and he just wants to get home. It feels really weird not spending the hour it usually takes to say goodbye to everyone, but thanks for a brilliant time - we had a blast! xx

Robin and Hilary, thanks for your hard work it is appreciated. The bacon butties were great this morning thank to the lads for their bacon cooking skills.

Ah so now we know who to blame for the highly contagious manflu :unsure:

Thanks to all for their efforts to make the last few days such a success, and particularly to Robin and Hilary for all their scheming over the last few months.
 
Thanks Hilary and Robin for organising another great New Year meet, the musicians for entertainment on two nights and everyone for the food last night. The Shrewsbury location is a bonus and the bacon butties the best, thanks everyone,

Evening funsters we arrived home safe from Shrewsbùry a big thank you to Robin and Hillary for all their hard work organising a cracking rally again and it was nice to meet new funsters and a big thanks to Rob and the guys for helping me with the bacon butties this morning.
 
Thank you Robin & Hilary for the New Year Rally we have had a great time and appreciate the hard work that goes into organising the rally, catching up with friends the walks into Shrewsbury
and especially the evenings in the hall. The music on both nights was great Greengrass cliffandger (Ger)
Anthea M (Rob) canopus (Ken) a lovely evening.
Then of course martin1485 Martin Shirley Leslie & Rob a big thank you for a great night's music, and please pass on our good wishes to Leslie who sadly was taken quite poorly halfway the evening.
Then a big thank you to tonyandcarol Tony and crew for the oh so tasty bacon rolls.
Eddie and I as usual have had a lovely New Year with our Funster friends and looking forward to 2020.

We've had an absolutely brilliant time. The bands were great, the quizzes impossible, and the company second-to-none :h:.
It's been lovely meeting old friends and putting new faces to names.

A big 'Thank You' to Hillary and Robin ( meanders ) for organising such a wonderful rally in our home town we had a lovely time, especially that darts competition :giggle:

Sadly due to Lesley collapsing we were unable to do the second half of the Saturday evening music leaving Martin & Shirley ( martin1485 ) to soldier on, on their own after all the shown must go on – sorry both.

A very BIG thank you to ( Carol ) who was first on the scene when Lesley collapsed and then to the two lovely NHS Nurses who looked after her as she recovered enough to go home. Sorry ladies I do not even know your names but a heartfelt thank you from us both - NHS Angels.

We ended up calling the Ambulance at about 02:30 who arrived quickly and diagnosed food poisoning etc, they recommend going to Hospital but warned that on NYE at the infamous Royal Shrewsbury Hospital this would mean a very long wait on a trolley in a corridor. We opted to stay home and see how it goes and let her GP advise after that. Lesley is feeling a lot better today so she is slowly on the mend J

See you a Rally, somewhere later this year. Les & Rodd

As every one as said, what a great meet it as been. The company, weather and location were fantastic.
Really good to meet up with old friends and to meet new ones.
Most of all to Robin and Hilary for arranging this meet and to the hard work that they put into making it a such a memorable New year.
Thanks to the musicians also for entertaing us. Bacon Butties crew also did a sterling job.
Jackie and I wish you all a fantastic 2020. See you all in a field soon.
 
Had another lovely time at the New Year Meet, you are such a friendly crowd. Huge thanks to Robin and Hilary for all their hard work. Loved the Musical evening, such talented people and the band on New Year's Eve too. But we needed more on the dance floor!!
PS. I promise never to have another go at darts ever again. :giggle::giggle:
 
A simply wonderful rally!
Hillary and Robin seemed to be everywhere twice, great marshalling!
The place was alive with everyone enjoying themselves and meeting so many new friends; wonderful.
The organised music and the spontaneous singing late at night by Greengrass and a petite lady with her delightfully risque ditty were just some of the highlights of a great rally. Thank you all!

Well yet another great New Year meet at Shrewsbury.
Our special thanks to Robin & Hilary for such a well organised meet, there was as usual always something going on in the evenings, the days were bright & sunny and very laid back.
Thanks to all the musicians, you really did make then evenings special, you are a truly talented bunch.
I hope everyone got home safely, it took us 4 hours with a coffee stop, and we enjoyed a nice steady plod along some of the normally busiest motorways, so luck was with us today.
We met some truly wonderful people, we wish you all a wonderful 2020, thanks & best wishes to all.

Thanks Robin and Hilary for all your hard work. We had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves. Great to meet new funsters and catch up with old.

We have just sent £135 profit from the Bacon Rolls, raffle, donations etc to Jim for Katie's Myaware charity via Just Giving, so thank you all for your generosity.

We had a great time with you all and can't believe quite how kind the weather was to us.

Thanks due to everyone that helped,
  1. The Musicians..... two wonderful nights and an afternoon of jamming.
  2. The Humpers..... Those that took all the kit up and downstairs, moved tables, chairs etc.
  3. The ad-hoc Marshalls who freely gave their time to assist with parking, hook-ups, explaining where things were etc.
  4. The Decorator ... a young lass who helped set the room up before the main event.
  5. The Caterers ...... What a spread and so little wasted
  6. The Directors ..... Who helped those on their first trip to Shrewsbury with directions into town etc.
  7. The Carrier ... He who took me to the Cash and Carry and Tesco's.
  8. The Grillers ... Up early New Years day to cook the bacon rolls.
  9. The Clearer Upper's ..... those who helped sort out the mess we jointly made in the room.
  10. The Darts players and non-players, and organiser ... What fun we had. :)
  11. The Nurses ... Who willingly dropped into role when someone was taken ill.
  12. Everyone that participated.
You know who you are, so take the pat on the back please. Without all of you, the rally would not have happened.

We took just about 5 hours to get home, but the journey was fine..... just took a long time.

Will let you know if we plan to do it again next year.
