up date on music ive got a large blue tooth speaker for xmas so any one with music on their phones i pads etc can play it i think its loud enough for a room of 40 people ive got some music on usb stick which will play on it as well but just random ly unless we combine it with laptop which we can use as a juke boxif me and robin combine i think we have it covered

Thanks, we should have loads of music now as @meanders is taking something as well I believe. As they say about spares for Rally cars "better looking at them than for them".

Hi all is this rally full now ? Last minute looking for somewhere to go NYE

@Gazza333 If this rally is full have a look at the Briarfields thread, someone has had to cancel at the last minute.

Hi Gazza333

We can squeeze one more in, you wont be able to make payment now as the office will be shut but we can sort it out when you are on site.

Martin

Ooh like buses two come along at once. Just messaged about the briar fields rally now. Can I let you know later please Martin? If someone else comes along then let them have the space .

Many thanks
Gary

No Problem Gary, we are full as far as the limit I set so not really a spare space, we would just all budge up a bit to make room:xThumb: (there are 24 EHU points)

Please all be aware that when you arrive Gravel Hill lane (that is the left turn to the site) just by the flats may well be flooded, if so just go straight on down Berwick road for 1/4 mile and take first left and this will bring you in the other side, the site is still green and the water level is dropping again.

@funflair.

Martin,

How close are the water taps? Is it worth carrying a full tank all the way.

Well we are empty, 200 metres at a guess, you could fill up as you come in as you can park by the taps.

Just back from shopping for the chilli ingredients, I'm going to make a milder one than normal as I don't want anyone with a burning mouth throwing themselves in the river to cool it down.:LOL:

Thanks for the level forecast Martin :xThumb:

Oh yes!
Finished work earlier than expected and will be on the road in an hour. Find a pub to stop over tonight on the way then see you all tomorrow at Shrewsbury.

Happy New Year to you all it looks like it's going to be a good one!!

I ran the system up this morning and all works. Just got to find room in the van for it all now. xroll: Can play CD's on the laptop but have brought a DVD player as well as we can then cross fade. Intend to bring in the 12" TV so we can monitor. I expect to be able to connect almost anything else.

We've also packed a pile of CD's including lots of party stuff! Also have several mic's with me if anyone wants to lead a sing-song.

I'm not taking any lighting though. I have quite a bit of stage lighting, but just do not have the room or the payload for a dimmer pack or two. I have to leave space and weight for my mum and sister who we are picking up part way across the country on the way home.

Leaving the bikes at home to reduce weight as well.

Is there anyone local to the site know if we can get some nice fresh French sticks or crusty bread please as we will be setting off Thur am and it will be supermarket bought otherwise.

EVERYBODY PLEASE READ

@Badknee there is a nice bread shop in town BUT and this is the bit everybody needs to read!!!

You need to come into the site the long way round as Gravel Hill lane is flooded at the end where you want to turn off Bewick road, just drive straight on about 1/4 mile and it is the first left turn, it looks like you are turning into a field but it is correct, head straight across and through the farm buildings and follow the road until you see the showground on your right we will open the first gate on your right hand side, if you get to the flood you have gone too far.

If you want to get into town you will need your wellies, I have tested it and it was deeper than I thought because it only came half way up the ducks, but you can get through.

The room is still locked so I can't check what is there but I understand that it has a kitchen area so we should be OK for warming stuff up NYE.

@meanders if your disco gear is heavy it might be worth dropping some gear off at the room before you pitch up.

@lunarman the tap is right on our pitch.

See you all soon, safe travels.

Martin

Martin,

I assume we will be parking on the roads not the grass. Will we need extra long hook up leads?

John

@KayeB say depends if you are FWD or RWD,we are both on the field 13 tonne between us.

It seems pretty firm, mind we haven't got off yet.

If you have extra long bring it, better looking at it than for it.

Try here. http://www.breadandloaf.co.uk/ I have never actually bought anything there, but it looks and smells good - and is within walking distance of the showground.
