Hi, only just picked up on this thread. Never been to Shell Island but read a bit about it. Do we have to book, or is it just a turn up and enjoy place please? May try to make it if we can

As Kate said just turn up, if the weather is good it will be brilliant, don't forget your costumes it was warm enough to swim most days. It's not a rally but I'm sure you will find us

Hello Peter, it was always going to be the case, last winter was just get away till the money ran out then back to save up again, glad to say all going to plan and will be off again January this time I am retiring

PLEASE don't forget this wonderful island in the sunshine is amazing to camp but if the weather is bad then it is AWFUL and there are no proper shops, no buses, and there are jelly fish and there was a shark last year... and somebody's ashes on the beach..

I'll get my coat....

As Joy said it can be AWFUL if the weather is bad and windy don't park with the door facing the wind you will not be able to open it hopefully it will be glorious weather for us

Hi Jim I was/am on 3 mob and got a good signal-several jumped on my tethered wi-fi --Not sure if the shop/bar etc has free wifi but you are usually a good distance from there anyway --If my memory is correct 02 signal was crap -hope this helps

OH IT'S RUBBISH JIM.... No tv signal either... and the telephones leave you stranded ..... You could put up a really high antennae but then remember to take it down when the lightening starts.
