WANTED Semi Automatic A frame Tow Car

Playing detective in the Motor trade is a black art. I have been practicing for many many years
I tried to help here, second post i think by getting the OP to expand on his idea
Exactly what is Newish? Im 99% sure your idea is not the same as mine
Exactly what is Semi Automatic Im 99% sure your idea is not the same as mine
Customers and even Mechanics have varying name for the same items, dependent even on where they live and what they were taught
Folk use general descriptions with 80% of the story still in their heads
eg
My clutch has gone
Where? did you leave a door open? was the vehicle locked after 20 mins of detective work we find the vehicle cant move because a drive shaft has broken
So to all the moaners and groaners do you really think all questions are irellevent? maybe in your head !!!
Or I could do what you think most garages would do and fit him a new clutch and defend that by saying you never said owt about a drive shaft

Call from my elderly Mother:

My car won't go!
Does it start?
No
Is the engine running?
Yes
What happens when you try to set off?
It won't go. (Increasingly impatient)
Can you put it in gear?
Yes
Then what happens?
It won't go.
So you put it in gear then let the clutch out and nothing happens?
Yes. It doesn't go.
Where are you?
On the roadside.
Where?
Wattsfield (that's about 200 yards from her house).
Has it been giving trouble before?
Well ....... it didn't seem to be going up hills very well.

It would go into gear cleanly without pressing the clutch. Don't think I've ever seen a clutch quite as fried.:D2

When what she was really trying to tell you was
Shes had it up for sale , dropped the price 6 times and it still wont go
Ang you fitted a new clutch:doh: yer worse than me :rofl::rofl::rofl:

We are still looking for a frame car or car with trailer. I'm a rubbish driver and forget to change gear hence why the towable auto is preferable.
