You’ll be great Simon. But I understand how you are feeling. I walked away from a very good and well paid position when starting my own consultancy. Best decision I made in my life and the boss was 100% behind me which am sure Natalie will be too. Your a team.

I remember many years ago cruising the WilhelminaKanaal in the Netherlands and was discussing the inefficiency of my propeller at displacement speeds with a local boat owner. He directed me to a nearby prop specialist in a local Marina.A couple of references to Natalie sprinkled in here, what many of the boys and girls won’t know is “who’s Natalie?”
Well, when Simon took the job at AK’s Mum and I said he was mad, given we’d grown up in Paignton and known AK’s before they were ”AK’s” then being “Roger’s” and didn’t hold their reputation too high!
Si being Si, (Sorry, Simon Select Motorhome) had a plan, and re-arranged the internal structure making Nat in charge of servicing and after care, clever, caring, pretty, and a fully trained and qualified technician, backed by Simon she excelled in the job
Obviously you still get the odd prick that can’t get his Dinosaur head around the fact that a pretty young lady knows more than they do about, well most things, so makes up for their inadequacy by shouting, but most intelligent, educated people, recognise and appreciate her, and her success in the role. (Ladies, consider this when buying, be patronised and spoken down to, or, buy from a company that recognises and promotes female excellence!)
So instead of the old posts slating AK’s the ‘new’ posts stated to emerge saying how good they were, die hard Funsters who held dealers in scant regard started to buy and order vans from AK’s
Si, realising how talented Nat was, and spurred on by the fact she liked Trix (the angel) and Jerry ( the knob) Si’s GSD’s he made his move, and once Si, Trix and Jerry were introduced to Natalie’s horses, we realised it was true
Together, along with RobSelectMotorhomes they are the nucleus of a customer focused business that live and breathe motorhomes, to an extent that if pressed I will post a picture of Si, aged three, in Italy alongside his brothers AshVanBitz and James AJ Motorhomes all three looking cute (Nick@ Vanbitz wasn’t born then!)
So good luck, just keep doing what you know works, the right thing!
