Crash bungs or bobbins in the blue circle to protect the bike if it slides down the road
Bobbins also on the front spindle
The red circle is knee sliders to protect your knee when cornering hard

And having read it - quite rightly so.
I'm sure the residents of our village would be equally as upset if hoards of foreigners decided to wild camp around here.😦
Its not a true and fair representation. They're obviously referring to the Palmerai, which is a big piece of mostly unused open land alongside many other pieces of equally unused open land. Sure there used to be a problem with waste disposal so the municipality constructed a french style borne and vidange a few hundred metres away.

Tafraoute simply does not have the campsite capacity to accommodate the amount of Mh's that assemble there, but as its only for 2-3 months of the year why would it make sense to create another atlantica park up there? If they were to enforce it then a lot of the Motorhomes would move to a different location like we all did from Taghazoute and the town would lose a lot of tourist income. Its not about paying, its about the experience of camping in the "desert" in relative comfort and safety. we re all paying anyway, we pay to stay, buying food, tagines, resprays etc etc.

I notice they've also thrown an accusation of child abuse in. I have to say although not impossible I think that is very unlikely. I can’t imagine it would be tolerated.

A great example of sensationalist journalism with an agenda right there. Obviously one of the campsite owners is unhappy at losing some trade, but if you saw the campsites you’d realise that they’re not that great, and that the guardian parking isn’t free and provides employment for quite a few locals who deliver pretty much anything you want including fruit & veg, bread & cakes, fresh tagines, water etc. I saw no evidence of anyone dumping their cassette on either of my visits, and in fact the local authorities have built a new motorhome service point within the last few months.

Have you been bellabee ?

Paul

While Tam's taking a rest and with the proliferation of "different" vehicles that are being posted, I'd like to share this beast with you that my son sent me yesterday. To me, the interior is much nicer than any Carthago or Morelo !

Your post is appreciated jock…

I have been asked about Tam and without breaking rule one I no longer wish to be associated with him, he has blocked me and all the others that were with him and that were going to meet him on on this trip on the forum and personally.

I would be grateful to you all if in future that a connection is not made…

Thank you for your understanding.

That's sad.
Especially after all the help you gave him recently.

Pugeout 504. I had a 504 ti (fuel injected). It rusted almost as fast as an Alfa. Fast in a straight line, but easy to lose the back end on bumpy bends. After I got shot of it, I vowed to never own a French car again.

That is very sad indeed considering all the support you and others have given him in recent times, he doesn’t accept advise, not making excuses for him but he really needs to seek professional mental health advise, must be devastating for all of you.🥲

I had 3 little girls approach asking for sweets. I didn't have any but offered bananas and they gladly took them. I suppose someone grumpy could have shouted at some children. Hopefully nothing worse with the rest of the inaccurate article to go by. The town is quite removed from the desert camp btw for anyone wondering. Here's the view from the window when we parked there recently.

I suggest we don't talk about him behind his back and let him chill and decide what he wants to do without our influence or comments.

To be factual and clear it has nothing to do with his mental health. It is all our decision not to associated with him.. in return he has blocked us all…
The only thing I will say is he is not the person we are led to believe.

I’m not going to say any more on this subject…
