Hello Funsters. Having just washed the roof of the van, not a quick easy job as we all know, after letting it dry off a bit in the sun, would you use a roof covering for the winter months when not in use ?

Only a 'tent' covering.
Several available on line, and you may be able to find an Army Surplus one as they use them for workshops.

They are big, and are in effect semi permanent installations.

I've looked into 'shower cap' type of covers and the general recommendation is not to do it.
Hence this winter I have moved where I have stored my van so as not to be near trees and I'll see what colour the roof is come next spring!

Wet and forget. Applied either to a clean roof or dirty keeps ours free of any green. Needs odd swill but no effort required.
Was about to message and say a dose of wet and foget and then forget about it

Haven't cleaned the roof in about 3 yrs

We had a breathable cover for our first van. It was a pig to put especially if there was a breeze. Stopped using it when we went to collect it in the winter and it was frozen on. Even running the heating fir half an hour didn't free it off the roof and pulling off left bits of cover still up there.
