As a former white-van man (16 long years) I've learnt that reversing anywhere is always easier to do if you keep your eyes on the ball. And plan ahead. And stay committed to the manoeuvre, don't change your mind halfway through. That said there is no accounting for the pleb that decides it's ok to drive as close to the back end of your rig as possible. But thats why we have tow bars. Next out and about the last week of August. No idea where. Can't wait.

I'm amazed that when a Driver has a difficult manoeuvre to avoid an accident and has a passenger why O why O don't they use the said passenger not only for their safety ,but, safety of others, don't you think in this case come rain or shine it's better to use this person even if the verge is wet, as a Driving Instructor informed me years ago , " you are on the road to avoid an accident not just to make sure it's not your fault " in other words apart from somebody hitting you it's better to give way.
