Restrictions that result in lack of facilities for motorhomes

I always say whatever nationality, colour,, religion, you are ( that includes all born in UK ) if you don't like the UK don't live here you won't be missed
Well we are trying to leave but boris the dictator is scared to give us a vote ?‍♂️

Personally I dont live in the UK I live in scotland a part of broken Britain ?

Expressing dissatisfaction with one aspect of UK life doesn’t mean that folks are dissatisfied with the whole experience.

I might as well say that folks who don’t like any post that read on MHF can leave the forum and won’t be missed!

Sounds like you fall into that category:ROFLMAO:

I don’t think you need me to tell you, not everyone who buys a motorhome wants to stop at campsites nor can afford to.
Again not my point, I stay wherever is closest to my route, free is good but not essential?

God not that old chestnut, democracy isn't a one time thing.

Thankfully

next stop asked,
Please excuse my ignorance, but what is a "tinker"…?

It's a word used in Scotland for, gypsies, travellers ect ! used it all my life, now 69 !!
Also Irish - My dad said if I was naughty I would be sent away to the tinkers. At the time, I thought this might be a great idea, as they had ponies. Lol

You're absolutely right; but that's how a lot of people use CLs/CSs which is what you asked.
A lot also will stay for a few nights.
You choose one that suits your needs, and we all use our m/h in different ways.
Fair point but that’s because we don’t really have a choice, do we? We also use the CLs but would love to have Aire type parking actually in the towns and villages, which is what this thread is all about.

It’s all very well having all these sites to choose from but weren’t they originally set up for people with caravans and cars?

The quote"makes you wonder what's Great about Great Britain really"
Perhaps I'm too sensitive about people knocking our country that I love.

Can we get back to the subject before the thread gets ruined. :-)

You lost the vote , man up and abide with democracy & stop whinging

as I have done with Brexit & I would have done with independence ?
Ah ok so we shall never ever vote on anything again then ?‍♂️
Democracy IS having a right to a say , a lot has happened in 5 years

irnbru , you trying to spoil my fun lol , don’t worry tams got a sense of humour he’s Scottish lol

but your right , back to the thread ?

Just checked the official guide for 2019 and its
One of the French books lists nearly 9000 a few of them may be just car parks but still an overninght stop.

Which book is that? The "Official" guide has around 8000 in but that covers the whole of Europe

Can't remember one I bought years ago in France, I don't use books now.

Probably the official, the big number on the front is normally all of Europe.

From Vicarious book website.

There are now 3944 official motorhome aire de services in France called Aires.

Do we have a list on fun of specific free places in UK that have toilet emptying facilities?Dont mind buying a meal or drinks.

Furthermore just out of nosiness I just rang a Caravan Club site to find out how much it would cost to "Fill n dump" . Reply was unless you are staying onsite you cant. Not doing themselves any favours as far as I can see.

It's only CC&C that allow you to use facilities for, I think, 3 hours - so you can dump & refill, have a shower, do some washing etc if you want to. think the current charge is £7.50 which I think is a bit high for such a short time and you also have to be a member to use this facility.

Last time I checked (a couple of years ago now) CMC didn't allow at any of its sites; CCC allowed at some, it was £7.50 at the time.

EDIT oops - snap with denisejoe !
