Re upholstering a van interior

What concerns me about this is that if you don't use it for a while before your 6 week holiday you will NOT be able to identify, and rectify, any faults with the equipment. Don't think for one minute if you do find a fault it will be fixed immediately, it can take MONTHS for some parts to be sent to the dealer so you could end up with your MH out of action for the summer months when you need it.

As you would be staying on a campsite with the MH why not just do a summer rent of one of the lodges/chalets/static caravans on a site instead? No worry about stuff not working, plenty of room for you all, no massive outlay ....

I really cannot understand your thought process about buying a new MH being the best option for you as that will depreciate a lot so the 'asset value' you are talking about IMV will be a lot less than you think it will be.
I don’t think any of us understand his logic! He keeps asking for advice, good advice is given but it is always shouted down by difficult to understand reasoning or ignored completeley and then another thread started. I’m as bad as anyone else though and get dragged in!
Why oh Why do I keep on reading these threads?!
‘Er indoors, aka The Duchess keeps telling me to get orf my ass and cut the grass........good advice, which I’m happy to pass on to others:D:D2:LOL:

Only problem with that theory is that whoever it is would have to become a 'new' subscriber to be able to keep posting and I doubt many would spend £15 just to wind us all up!

I am inclined to agree with you, he has contradicted himself so many times . However it has given me hours of harmless entertainment on the odd occasion that I have nothing better to do, once we get our new van on the 10 th and head off to Spain I’ll lose interest! I say that but I bet I won’t be able to resist , it’s like a reality TV show.

I dunno £15 is cheaper than a swift

If he is a real person and what he says on here is true lol then ....

Well I don't even know what to think of that

Judging by the amount of money he tells us he's throwing away £15 is less than he pays to have his shoes shined. I doubt it would be of any concern to a man of his stature.

If I didn't suspect it was Jim's alter ego, I might start flirting with him. :)

My life is poo at the moment and these threads are giving me laugh lines. Xxxx

I never said I stayed in a hotel that costs that, and trust me that is cheap in St Tropez, check July and August prices! What I am saying is if we did NOT have a motorhome that would be one of our only options, the other is a mobile home at £2,500 a week, camping costs around 60 Euro a night plus of course cost of motorhome and getting there, BUT after say 3yrs you still have an asset, if you paid for a hotel or one of those sheds NOTHING. How hard is that to understand

Another vote for Regal Furnishing.

Which campsite in the St Tropez area can you get a pitch for around 60 euros in summer and is it suitable for a largish motorhome. Thanks
