Pump King....Fuel card

Thought I was being a right numpties as I couldn't find a number to block! But if you're blocking and the texts keep coming, then I choose to save the rest of my hair ! :D
I'm going to assign it a ringtone all of it's own so that I'm not having to check all the blooming time ;)

I seem to have managed to block them - (unless they’ve stopped otherwise) but before that worked I found stopping notifications for the text made it less intrusive. Deleted 47 texts too.

Add 7867 5464 to contacts as pump king then block that caller

I have had 60 texts. During the process to join I put in all my personal data but changed my mind when it wanted credit card details. I did not think that I would still get the supposed once a week email, let alone 60!
Given what’s happened there is no way they will get my card details. Also a fried of mine told me today that he bought about £50+ of fuel he was later emailed by pump-king and he only saved 20p.

I used the card once. Filled up and price shown on pump was £61.40. When PK took the money it was £61.40. Didn't save a penny so not intending to use it again unless on motorway.

Received 61 texts today, which is a bit irritating. Still think this is a useful card to have, especially on motorways. If there is somewhere cheaper wherever you are great, then don't use the card it's not costing you anything. I have saved over £8 on one fill-up.

The C&MC forum is carrying this statement from the club:
"There have been problems with the third-party text deployment service used to notify users of next week’s fuel prices which may have resulted in multiple text messages being sent to some users. We have been notified that the issue is now resolved. We are working with the suppliers to investigate and will post a status update on Monday. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused."

Apart from the weasel words about “may” and “some” (!) it’s possibly reassuring that the problem is with a 3rd party text deployment service, who hopefully don’t have access to bank details - only your mobile no’s!!

It doesn’t mention why their website has gone - we shall no doubt find out

It is now but was down all morning with a holding page from their hosting provider.
Yes I'm aware thank you. I started todays debacle of posts on page 4
Pump king is fine
If I'm on the motorway I can buy ESSO £1.50 diesel for the weekly price. No need to worry if I can make it to Asda

Has anyone tried using their card today out of interest?

If you've already created your account you should only need your password.
If you haven't created an account that will be why you don't have a card yet.

Reference code will be to activate your card when received

AAARRRGGGHHH!!! Yes, I've created an account & can log in. It takes me to "Activate my membership card" & wants the membership card number that I STILL haven't got!!!:whistle:o_Oo_O:((n)

I saved over 10p per litre today on Esso premium.
I'm alternating between regular and best with the car

Fuel has been on the rise but was 129.9 this week. We filled up twice on Tuesday without being questioned.
No problems to report and receipt comes through in a couple of days
Also doesn't seem to be a fill limit as we passed £104 on the van

I have used the card on a number of occasions, this week premium diesel cost me 1.375 per litre with the card, my nearest garage, Jet, was charging 1.36.9 for standard diesel!
Costs nothing to get, through the Caravan and Motorhome Club and you still get Tesco points on the purchase

Well after many years of using ASDA fuel I can honestly say my van is getting more mpg out of Esso

I cannot account for a comparison with my 1.6 Berlingo as I’ve used Esso only from acquiring it
However I think 50 plus mpg across several tanks full with the aerodynamics of a house brick is excellent.

The difference in price varies from slightly cheaper to 1p dearer than Asda

Filled up today before the next week increase
1:309 saving 6ppl on the pump price and the nearby Morrison’s was 1.349
