Anyone had problems dealing with Mirrorguard recently? Bought a pair from them in August but were sent 2 drivers side ones. Paul at Mirror guard firstly said this was impossible but then agreed to send a passenger side one by tracked post. We returned the dud item by tracked post and have proof of delivery. Since then radio silence and he won’t answer calls or emails.

Just log a dispute with your credit card company assuming you have paid with a credit card and not a debit card, they will refund you and go after them which is a lot better than having to chase them yourself.
Of course, if you paid by debit card (no idea why you would as you have virtually zero protection) then you have no choice but to keep pestering them.

So you just need a refund on your tracked postage cost?
I read it as he still hasn't got the other mirrorguard too. But then I've seen a few posts recently about how long they take and that they don't answer messages / phone calls so they're not someone I'd be happy to bother dealing with to be honest.

Not recent, but I swore I’d never deal with them again after problems some years ago. Ordered a single replacement guard, to replace one which had broken in a (relatively low speed, slow enough to think it shouldn't have) collision, and made it clear that it had to arrive by a specific date, as we were going away again. No problem, he said.

It never arrived, so after a number of follow-up calls, I rang to cancel and left clear instruction not to send it. A replacement did arrive after we had left home (& bought a perfectly adequate replacement from VanComfort en route.). When we got back I tried to ring but never any reply (I probably should have used a different phone number!). I ended up doing a chargeback via the bank.

I don’t think he’s very efficient, but it was the broken promises that got me. Sounds like a pattern!

We had them on our 1st IH and although they’re a devil to get on they stayed on for the 4 or 5 years we kept the van. We had no hesitation in buying them for our 2nd IH.

We knew they’d be a devil to fit but would be worth it. Haha, one fell off after a few months. We thought we’d give them the befit of the doubt and tried to get a single replacement. Even tried at a show. Promises made but not fulfilled.

Then the 2nd fell off!

Never again. Think the quality must have deteriorated with the customer service. Bought another brand with a little screw bridge to hold them on. They’re now on our new van.

They may not be quite as thick but at least they stay on!

If they are the Milenco ones they work very well as I have proved in a combined 100mph wing mirror collision.

You can’t judge how good wing mirror protectors are by the cost or by their thickness.

The thinner ones with the screw on clip are in my opinion better. I've had them on my van since new and have sold thousands over the years with no issues. Had many thank you messages from happy buyers.

That’s the make, Milenco! I couldn’t remember. I woke at 5 am with a migraine but now that I’ve had a nap my brain is working better. Ours are black so haven’t faded. They’ve been in use now for about 3 years I think. Ours are short arm as we have a PVC.

I found him pleasant and helpful. Called at his house /premises without ringing first. I didn't know what colour protectors were best. He walked up the road to where my van was parked, decided silver was best and walked back to get them. Returned and wrestled with each mirror to get best fit. I told a mate of mine and he got the same great service.
