Hey JJ Franki if your passing call in for some fruit xx:thumb:
2. Wyaye wires first week in February. :thumb:I know of a location in Praia de Rocha, Portimao where a get together might interest some Funsters.
The place in my mind is not a fully fledged campsite in so much as it does not have a shower/toilet block nor electricity but it does have the following advantages...
1. Lots of space on different surfaces, tarmac, gravel or gravel/grass mix.
2. Water.
3. Cassette emptying.
4. Dog friendly.
5. Very close to huge beach and marina.
6. Close to shops, restaurants and bars.
7. A small onsite bar/snack bar/restaurant.
8. Free internet (speed variable).
9. Very affordable. (€2.50 per day, €2 for 110 litres of water).
10. A short drive to supermarkets, GPL and Burger Ranch.
Here are some details from my first post.
There are some photos somewhere too.
Keith has kindly posted the co-ordinates on the thread too.
I will be here from the start of February. (I am here now but am about to head off to Zahora for the Funster Joint Celebrity VIP Birthday Bash... The social event of the year. :thumb
One or two Funsters are here now too and several more are in better equipped sites nearby.
The informal gathering is just that... informal.
Motorhomes offer us great flexibility and the "Gathering" takes advantage of this.
If you are in the area and choose to, drop in... check it out... say hello... stay a while and/or move on.
Any specific questions... just ask away... :thumb:
JJ
PS. Date of "Gathering"... February 2014.
PPS. If anyone wants to list the dates they are thinking of coming please feel free to do so... but no pre booking is required.

Look forward to meeting you Keith and Jean...
I can thank you properly for your help with Giff Gaff last year...

JJ just to update you on our estimated arrival. It now looks as if it will be sometime towards the end of the second week of February, due to sickly pup; who is now better. We set off on Monday down to Folkstone. :thumb:

We will definitely be there on the 3rd., might arrive late on the 2nd, depends on what's going on here at Pedros. Grass is OK for us, we prefer the space.

Now at Isle Christina in Spain should be there mid Feb once I have worked out how to avoid the toll motorway into Portugal.
