Please stop staring

Better send her to needlework classes as there are a lot of stab wounds that need stitching on Saturday nights 😂

She's more into the psychology side, but I bet there is plenty of that sort of work to go round too!

How bad is it? My daughter wants to study medicine there. I guess there will be plenty of practice?

Nah Aberdeen is a safe city and once the lockdown is over it will be even safer!

Had a few speedboats and use to ski in Hayling harbour, lunch at the Ferryboat Pub.
Bit of people watching while having a pint and sandwich, funniest one we see was a chap who ran himself over with his own boat😂
Came into shore jumped off the front to stop the boat beaching, he was still to far out so the boat ran over him and he popped back up out of the water at the rear😂😂
Loads of people getting cars stuck and submerged.

I used to spend occasional time at the various "Swan"s near Richmond. The pubs down there are variously affected by the tides on the Thames, but lots of people avail themselves of the free riverside road parking.

A clearly flustered mother of three arrived in an old Citroen Picasso. She was quickly warned that her car will be underwater within the hour. She moves on. Her spot was quickly filled by some stereotypical suits talking ostentantiously loudly about how much they stiffed someone last week for their bonus. Not a peep. From anyone. It was great sport watching the water level rise on their Audi A8. It didn't quite float away, but it must have been close.

I admit the odd titter at someone forgetting to wind up the steadies after a rally and ploughing a short furrow. When I had them I laid the handle across the pedals so didn't forget. 😁

In Sardinia once we had a couple opposite who would sit for hours just staring at us. I moved the dog so that he was facing them. He just sat and stared them out . They then moved there chairs to face the opposite way.

We people watch anywhere & everywhere, to watch a caravan set-up can be very entertaining!
Our Jack Russell got the people watching bug too, she would spend ages just sitting watching.
We try not to make it obvious!

We had the same problem in Spain, we nicknamed the couple Pinky and Perky! I knew we were in trouble when we set up and noticed two chairs set up directly facing us. It drove me nuts so we went and found a camping shop and bought their very last windbreak. It did the job!

We were on a friends yacht in Gurnsey marina which has a sill to keep the marine water level up at low tide many a boat gets stuck on it, as we wanted to leave as soon as we could in the morning we went to the harbour office to ask about the tide.
He duly pointed out the water level marker on the entrance wall.
Great we had a lifting keel so only need 3 feet of water.
Start the engine in the morning that brings the whole marina out to have a look as it’s just gone low tide.
You could actually here the disappointment as we crossed the sill to leave.

Another time on the same boat in Brighton marina a few years back sheltering from bad weather,
We heard an engine start up.
At the time it was low tide we were sitting on the bottom as it was, Brighton marina gets quite badly silted up so getting in and out can be difficult.
Our boat has those mirror windows so great for being nosy.
This guy unties and off he goes then promptly stops stuck in the mud, about 5m from the pontoon.
He gets out the cockpit and is looking bemused out comes the boat hook to use as a dip stick. What a dipstick we all thought 😅😅😅😅😅

What is it that takes you long enough to give people time to stare.

I pull on the pitch press the leveling button, wind out the awning, get the chairs out plug in the electric and im done 5 minutes im drinking my beer 😉

Are people staring or just looking in your direction? I certainly wouldn’t turn away if somebody pitched up in my eye line.

It’s even better when watching if you hold score cards up after they finished. ::bigsmile:
That reminds me of the Film RV, when they pull out the deck chairs to watch them empty the toilet and all cheer when it explodes. 😂
