Pitch Invasion

Still trying to understand how aires deliver the same level of privacy, safety, security(?), etc that a site normally does.
Why do you think a site delivers anything like that ? I certainly wouldn't? You've no idea who on earth is on there. At least on an aire or even in a lay by you can assume all are dodgy.

On a site you've got space to open your windows \ doors :whistle2:so additional privacy. You've got, or should have appropriate spacing, so additional safety (fire), etc. Hence my (?) after security.

Bloody hell, just had a look :Eeek:
It’s expensive that’s for sure. They have a large range of activities ( extra charge ) and great facilities , for us it seems to be ok . Actually using up vouchers for bookings we had that were during lockdown so no extra cost . I do agree it’s expensive . We were at a CL the week before which was £13 for the night for the 5 of us . Just glad to be getting out there after so long .

I paid £20 for one person for one night at a CL last week. Small grass field next door to large farm buildings. EHU was included but black waste disposal was lift a manhole cover.

It was convenient for where I had to be but I would never pay that much for such limited facilities, in those surroundings, if I was touring on holiday.

We are so far behind the continent in terms of facilities for motorhome touring. It’s a pity local authorities can’t see motorhomes as a positive contribution to their community rather than as a problem, largely as a result of the lack of facilities in their area.
