Hello Debs Please take our names of the list (currently at no.19) As you know we are giving up motorhoming and joining the slippers and rocking chair brigade. C'est la vie.
That's positive Debs.
I know it's a bit of a haul but I thought folks might like the chance to visit Whitby on the steam train and the beer festival was just a happy coincidence - it's not like there's alot of pubs in Whitby or anything @big map did find out that there were 66 fish & chip shops the other dayThat's positive Debs.
The negative unfortunately is that the bus option takes anywhere from 1hr 08 mins, to 2 hrs 39 mins, depending on the time of day. The train option is even worse.
It looks like a few pints in a Pickering local over that weekend.
Cheers,
Jock.

TBH Debs, I didn't know that the North Yorkshire Moors Railway ran all the way to Whitby, (never been on it) and my findings were based on the research of available public transport, other than NYMR..................., however, having looked at the NYMR timetable, I'll definitely be up for a steam ride to Whitby, and a short walk to the Beer Festival.
Cheers,
Jock.
Ahh, been there Anthea, and seen Claude Grengrass's tatty back yard, (A CC CL at the time), and I've been in the pub for a look.It does now Jock stops at goathland !
