As per title, the accompanying photo shows one end of a defective strut.
The 'fixings' are model specific and, should I find a suitable replacement, I would like to apply them to the new strut.
It will be seen that across the end (and at the other end as well) there is a piece of what appears to be sprung steel straddling a slot.
Is it a question of inserting a suitable screwdriver into that slot to lever out the sprung steel thus releasing the ball joint it holds?
