As per title, the accompanying photo shows one end of a defective strut.
The 'fixings' are model specific and, should I find a suitable replacement, I would like to apply them to the new strut.

It will be seen that across the end (and at the other end as well) there is a piece of what appears to be sprung steel straddling a slot.

Is it a question of inserting a suitable screwdriver into that slot to lever out the sprung steel thus releasing the ball joint it holds?

Yes just lever up the clip a little and the bracket comes away, SGS Engineering is a good place for a replacement strut

Normally the ends unscrew, have a word with SGS they may be able to advise.
Hi Lenny,

These don't and SGS refurbed this, (and it's mate) last September.
I'm awaiting their response to my enquiry.
