Yes got to be the first customer or your not a customer of the supplier, or something like that,
We bought a 6 month old toad already converted and had a few small problems, I rang the converter as I was passing to see if they could help or give some advice and they said 6 weeks before they could talk to me.
I replied bet you took the money for the conversion quicker than 6 weeks, to which her reply was you are not the original customer,
I replied but you are the original supplier.

Once I got past the office girl the fitter/engineer was very helpful and gave me the necessary info that I needed,
Sometimes it is down to who you speak to in a company. 🙂
 
There are lots of companies out there doing a similar product.... I’d research a few more rather then just two mentioned here....

to be honest I didn’t have good service from vanbits and have heard of others too but that doesn’t mean it’s not a good system...
It probably would not be normal for any company or product to have a bad review. Mine review would be totally opposite experience to yours. When we had two vehicles stolen last year and the keys to the MoHo stolen as well, guess what the MoHo was not touched my guess is they thought one wrong button pressed and the alarm would go off and that was probably Down to the flashing red led’’a The after service from @eddyvanbits was first class.
As I say everyone’s experience is different but I would use Vanbits again.
 
Sometimes it is down to who you speak to in a company. 🙂
Or ‘how’ you speak to someone in the Company.

Happy to say that we have thousands of ‘adopted’ customers that have systems that we support, with spares, technical telephone support, documentation etc

All we ask when we are trying to help people is ‘just be nice’

While we are on the subject of motorhome alarms and to try and calm things down I have just watched a you tube video about an alarm called “Pandora camper the worlds most advanced smart motorhome security system” it has some great features ie remote engine start ,and great motor home graphic on the app. I have no idea why I would want remote engine starting but I do think I need it 😂 . Have a look. But back to the OP I am a big fan of Vanbitz .

You wanted information about the system and our procedure was explained. You argued about paying the £20 record transfer fee to allow us to help you. As you say, you did pay us, and then you spent sometime on the phone with one of my staff, and at the end of the conversation you stated "That you didn't think that my colleague was being very helpful and "Was that all I get for £20"

You then spoke to me and repeated the statement that you'd not got much for your twenty pounds. I am happy to say that I suggested that we gave you the £20 back, and knowing by then that our customer had sold the motorhome I'd shred the file as it would be no longer needed!

You decided that it would be prudent to keep the telephone back up in case you needed it!

I was asking because Eddie is one of the most laid back blokes I know, and is not quick to anger. So I just figured that if you got him to a point where he said he's shred your file then I guess you had said more than "Good Morning" :D

You bought a Hymer with one of our systems already fitted, for our customer. You wanted information we would not provide to protect our customer.

You made the mistake of thinking that is you got aggressive at me you’d get your own way

If you threaten to shred people’s file and give them no support for a major addition to their motorhome where you have access to their system remotely it’s not surprising you don’t get many complaints.

like I said earlier, I got over it, one bad review is not going to destroy you, we cannot all be perfect and I’m far from it but I’m not a lier.

Good for you that you know him Jim, but you don’t know me but you have judged me to be a lier because he’s version is different from mine, is that classed as a personal attack on me....? Rule one.... who do I complain too...:rofl:

In the context of the thread where people were discussing why they had had our system installed, no. In the context that you paid us twenty quid and were then unhappy about your twenty quid's worth yes, which is why I wanted to give you your twenty back!

Actually there are three versions, as I came into the Van Bitz office to read my staff members transcript notes he made immediately after talking to you. Memory is a funny old thing as you get older, which is why we write everything down at the time! Much safer.

Funny how in the middle of a discussion about our motorhome alarm system, a post claiming bad service and despite the conversation being nearly four years ago, I remember the incident!

That's how few bad reviews we get!

Any way have a great New Year and if you ever buy a motorhome again, I'll give you an extra £20 discount to show that there is no hard feeling!

I think I’m getting the picture too, this is getting to be like the school playground and dare I say on the verge of bullying... I have dealt with far worse in my life, I’m quite capable of standing up for myself (no pun intended) to let anything like this affect me...
As I’ve said to Eddie a few times “I got over it”
I’ve had a few friends on here personally call and text me with support so I’m not the only one...

Ive seen them both. Phantom, too much singing.
Strikeback, series 8 the best so far.👍
Nearly fell asleep during Phantom - 1/3 spectacular and 2/3 a bit slow. Give me a proper phantom any day - guaranteed to make more noise than the MH one. A lot more noise. Almost as loud as a Growler :xThumb:

can’t fault the system they supply so good luck on your installation and don’t forget to ask for funsters discount at the time of booking...
