yeah green will suit you Bill - you can act as warden as and do patrols while we all go to the bar!

Morning all, just got informed by one of the guys on the 365 forum that we will not be able to get in and meet you good people as they fence you off !!! Firstly we were hoping to pick up our stickers :0( secondly we wanted to meet up and let you show off your MH's , we are only coming up on the Sunday as we don't have our MH ........yet ! Is there a way round this ?? Jim can you help ???

I didn't realise there was a deadline on this. I have missed it. Does this mean we cannot come now?

It does mean that you are too late to camp in the club areas, ie, with Funsters, but you can still book for the show, and camp in the "General Camping" area only.

Give them a ring on 01778 391000, but you'll find them quite strict with their rules re booking deadlines. :Sad:

Oh pants - I didn't realise there was a deadline either. Was going to make Peterborough my first solo trip in the van as Colin is away working that weekend. Just rang and there is no chance of getting in the club area.:cry:

But if you are happy to, you can camp in the "General Area" and pop over to the FUN area any time you like. We'll even look out for you, if we know to expect you. :thumb:

Attending Show as solo newbie

Hi Everyone,
I am collecting my VW auto sleeper clubman next week and would like to attend the show to try it out and investigate buying of TV and any other goodies that might be available.
I thought this would be a good intro to solo camping. Rather nervous about it but really want to try. :RollEyes:
Any suggestions would be welcome. Are cats allowed?

I missed booking too, by just a minute, while I was looking for my membership number. Serves me right for dithering but if the weather improves, we'll just head off somewhere else. Have a lovely time. :BigGrin:

Just spoken to the very nice people at Warners , who said that if we go and sign in at the info office and leave a small security deposit we can go into the "camping " area , which is great news for some of us less fortunate souls that don't have a MH ......yet :0)
Also means we can get our sticker from Jim and try and meet up with as many of you as possible , get the kettle on !!!!!

After a successful and very welcoming first meet with the FUN team in Chester this weekend (and a reminder about the deadline) I'm all booked and paid. Could you add me to the list too please, Jim :Smile:

A security deposit ... are they worried you'll run off with one of the Funsters or even worse that one will kidnap you and make you suffer the horrendous 'initiation ceremony' of eating bacon butties and drinking copious amounts of alcohol ... ! :Eek!: :Rofl1:

Oh dear, that sounds bad, Peterborough is to be my first and thought it was more like a friendly tea dance type of affair, with milky coffee and jam tasting, with the ladies doing a spot of crotchet and knitting whilst the men swap gardening tips.
 
If we book a few days before or pay on gate I assume we will end up on a general site
Anybody know how far to funsters area
And Is there any Electric ? We are having heating problems may or may not be sorted before event
