Peterborough Show 2012

It looks like we are outside the fence? If so that is not so secure as the place we were last time . Suppose we got too big for inside the fence :Rofl1:

Pitch wise it is much better, the area we have been in for the last few years is pretty lumpy.

Yes just the other side of the fence, I think we have been there before.

The day visitors may find it hard to get to us ! Because where we have been for the last couple of years they could walk out of the show into our old spot, then they manned the gate to where we are now.

I reckon that's where we were when scotjimland tried to visit.

The old field was a bit of a rollercoaster hopefully this one will be flat.:Rofl1: Bob.

If it is where I think it is, it is at a bottom of the long slope. All the rain we are getting will all run downhill to us

yes know that part of the site ...bad news if wet

You are right.. I know the site and now I have printed off the new map, it is bad news if it is wet... Peterborough always has been a bad site in rain.. if it has even stopped now then there is more than enough water in the top soil to cause issues for front wheel heavy footed drivers in Motor homes.... I think our Bill should charge for hauling them out with his Land Rover .. or at least get a bottle of wine...

Bob

It looks like we are that far out that we are near the Showground mini bus point :Rofl1:

Does anyone know anything about the minibus?

I first though it was where we were about 3 years ago, but now I think its further back than that.:cry:

I think Bob will be giving me a lift on his scooter if we are.

Sonja

Sonja Ask Beth she will know as she works in the showground:thumb:

I don't think it is exacty where we were 3 years ago. It appears to be slightly further south and a larger area extending further west. No matter, I'm sure we'll all enjoy ourselves  Glad I put the bikes on the rack for getting to the show though

That's me knackered then:cry::cry:. I will just have to stay a while longer until it all drys out:Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:.

If you are there early Bob (and you always are; you need so long to set up:BigGrin:) . Then if you are top right of our area you will have a good and short tarmac road through the 24 hour gate into the show, much better and shorter than last year. That said, if you don't offer Bob and Jane a large enough bribe, you might be bottom left of our area, and if you zoom in on google earth, you'll see thats at the junction of the dog poo collection area and the horse manure heap:Rofl1:

bribe is in the oven as I write

My right arm is killing me.. (yes we have a mixer) but it is my job to mix the lemon drizzle cake mix.. 4 eggs each .. two in the oven as I write this... my bribe is already in Jim.. yes I will be early.. I am hoping Bob is going to do me some lithely 3 minute boiled eggs.. I have you know we have to depart Tunbridge Wells at 4 a.m. (save paying the Dartford river crossing fee's)

Jim, where would I be without your helpful remarks about 'is it not time I starred to pack up... at that is just after I have fin ished setting up.. it is not my fault it takes 5 hours.. it is the likes of Dodgey and Mrs Dodge when they are present, Rick and Larry that come and talk and talk and talk.. :Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:

It is where we were three years ago. Not too bad a spot and plenty of room to party.

Hi All,

Family circumstances mean we cannot now go.

If anyone is interested in our ticket at £20 for Friday arrival send me a pm urgently and I can get the ticket to you first class recorded for tomorrow.

Best regards

Chris

Hi Jaws,

As in my handle the registration is G2EWS, but I understand if you phone them up and say you have changed your motorhome since purchasing the ticket they will give you a code to put on the paperwork! So I am told anyway.

Best regards

Chris

When we changed van what I did what get a white sticky label and put it over the reg number and replaced it with number of new van. No problems encountered.

I am already selling fishing ticket... bait you will have to get from JJ in Portugal or Gormet:Wink: as you wish.

I hear you are running boat trips in the pond by the A1 .. now named as MHF lake...
RV's with some many wheels will be able to float in to place...

This is really bad news I have to get my trail coat out of storage before malvern ... normally only where it with my guns etc., ... mind you it has been know to rain there hard in August.

Oh well.. never mind...

To hell with the expense! We've moved indoors to the cattle sheds! :thumb:

Stand 256 now.

Don't worry, Jim - I haven't forgotten the slab of beer for the rallying funsters! I'll row over with it tomorrow evening. :Rofl1:

Steve

peterborough

hi there,
if we come to peterborough show would we be able to park with all the funster and meet everyone. because we have not booked weather permitting or a wet suit canoe and life jackets avaliable.:Smile:

Mark and Tracy

See below Upadate from Warners about Peterborough Show.

Update from the organisors:

"Due to the unprecedented number of pre-booked campers, the current weather conditions and the now confirmed loss of land due to the weather, we have had to make the decision that in order to accommodate our pre-booked campers, we will be unable to accept any non-booked campers at this show."

The only other way is to take advantage of G2EWS selling his tickets (see posts above).

Now then Bob. Do you remember giving Rita and I some stick about you being in the :sin: at Marjal, whilst it was cold and :rain: back in the UK?
Well, now it's our turn, as whilst you are very much in the :rain: :rain: :rain: Rita and I are very much in the :sin: :sin: :sin:, and just loving these clear blue skies. :Rofl1:

Beer and BBQ in a couple of hours. Yesssssssss.

Cheers,

Jock & Rita.

P.S. Don't forget to wear your wellies whilst marking out the pitches. :Rofl1:

I take t you have a sail with you?

Mark and Tracy

If you have a sail with your canoe you will reach us much faster as the wind is about 25 to 28 mph and the gusts will be up to 45 mph according the the weather people..

Just set a heading for the Little Chief on the A1 .. and drop the anchor near the motor homes with the water up the wheels. If you intend to fish in MHF lake you will need to get a ticket from JIM .. the one with the fairy lights for sale ..opp5 tyre pressure monitors.

If you must moor up the trailer is a good landing stage behind my RV. .. Winnebgao Aspect B class.. hiding among the big boys.. height wise that is.
