I assume that you all obtain an Animal Health Certificate when travelling to EU and if you get a EU passport you won't need another AHC, but the EU requires an annual rabies vaccination whereas the UK one lasts 3 years, so if the french rabies vaccination expires before you next travel you won't be allowed in and you will need an AHC and vaccination. You also need an EU vet to issue a " fit to travel " endorsement on documents to be able to return to UK so giving your own wormer in most cases won't work. My vet in France has offered me an EU animal passport many times, apart from the extortionate cost of an AHC I can't see the benefits.
