You certainly seemed to have gobbled up the miles. Looks like you are doing well over 300 per day. These days 200 miles is a long run for me.

It’s some machine, I wouldn’t like the fuel bill.View attachment 747698
The big German unit behind you, parked near him on the aire in Terrugem in Portugal end of March.
We have only done 2 long days, as we both still work we don’t have the time to meander down. Once retired we’ll probably do the same as you.You certainly seemed to have gobbled up the miles. Looks like you are doing well over 300 per day. These days 200 miles is a long run for me.

They seem to be everywhere, mostly wild or at least we think they areI'm late on here, and going back a bit, but those poppies are glorious. There's none like that around here, this year.

Woke to a lovely blue sky this morning with temperatures forecast to be in the high 20’s, it’s 27 outside the van just before 6pm.
Downloaded a 24 mile loop from Komoot that passed through L’isle Sur La Sorgue and Le Thor while taking in some vineyards, route was lovely and vast majority in back lanes and country roads. We decided we’d treat ourselves to a nice lunch and it turned it to be delicious.
L’isle Sur La Sorgue is certainly worth a visit and reminded us a bit of Annecy.

One of the nicest lunches we’ve had, cheese and meat platter to share followed by a Bavette steak with bbq smoked mash.

We liked it there but that was a few years ago before camping car parks, you payed for parking ticket and it didn’t matter how long you stayed.Weren’t sure where to head today, we just randomly picked on the map and ended up in Fontaine de Vaucluses. Turns out it’s another stunning location, after stopping in Auchan at Apt for a shop it was a leisurely drive here.
We’ve stopped at another ccp Aire as it’s right on edge of town and only €12 a night, after some brunch we headed of for a walk round the village and were very pleasantly surprised by the size and the beauty. We also had a walk round the paper mill museum, working in a similar manufacturing business I find these very interesting.View attachment 749663View attachment 749664View attachment 749665View attachment 749666View attachment 749667View attachment 749668View attachment 749669View attachment 749670View attachment 749671View attachment 749672View attachment 749673View attachment 749674View attachment 749675
After this it was back to the van to watch the Bhoys being crowned Scottish champions.
Tomorrow’s plan is a cycle round a few nearby villages.
In low season which is now the campsite is €15 compared to €13, I had a walk round the site last night and it looks ok apart from being on the side of a hill. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a site like it, it’s terraced and very steep, I think I’d prefer the Aire.We found CCP had taken over quite a few municipal campsites on our last trip, how does the price vary from CCP to site?
We really liked Bedoin as a town , I think there is a market there each week? We did quite a bit of cycling in the area, there are marked routes taking you on some lovely quiet roads and into the foothills of mont ventoux. we would definitely stay at that CCP again as it had some great shady pitches .Not much to report today, we’ve moved on to the town of Bedoin. For those who know it’s the start of the climb up Mount Ventoux, unfortunately I’m not fit enough just now to attempt it. Hopefully be back at the end of summer to give it a go, certainly loads of cyclists here and some lovely cafes and bars which we try out tomorrow.
After a walk round town and a stop for a drink we got back to the van before the started, now cleared up but relaxing watching the champions league.
Only one photo today of our pitch at the CCP Aire next door to municipal campsite, the site has a swimming pool you can use but doesn’t open until June.
