Theres lots of pictures of Van's that are not sunlight or carado. We don't mind, we are a friendly lot and like to see other Van's. So long as no one gets envious of course

We’re looking at a trailer setup in order to carrier our two Honda’s. Total weight of the bikes (without luggage) is about 500kgs.

I went for a detachable tow bar, which doesn’t allow us to open the back doors when attached. Looks like you can with your set up?

I did end up putting mudflaps on, it really as made a difference. (y)
Box trailers are great for keeping bike(s) & kit secure and clean. Unlike a standard bike trailer they are very flexible - mine also performs as a garage for a lawn tractor and is probably one of my best ever buys.

As you suggest, the fixed tow bar allows the rear doors to open. It also offers some protection from french parking which is often the 'reverse until you hit something' style. An unplanned benefit is the towbar hangs slightly lower than the LPG refill fitting which I would otherwise worry about knocking.

I can see mud flaps in my future 👍

Would I be able to get two bikes in side by side? Each handle bar is about 740mm wide. However, I’d have to find somewhere to park it, whereas I could tuck away a two bike trailer in my front garden.

The width shouldn't be an issue if you choose the right trailer but I can't speak for your parking space. 😉 Whichever way you go, bear in mind that above 750kg gross you're looking at braked trailers and that's another ball game.

Looking at a lightweight / folding double bike trailer to try and keep weight to a minimum. Not in any rush, haven’t been out on the bikes for over a year!:(

We’ve been looking at those wheels and tyres for some time. The tyres we have now are fine on the road, but we’ve been very close to being stuck on grass twice.

We’ve been in contact with the company you dealt with, but they don’t fit. Who fitted yours for you?

Those tyres look impressive! (y)

How is the ride on the road with them and how does it compare with say the standard Michelin or Continental motorhome tyres?

Harsher? Softer? Noisier?

Are they on 15" or 16" rims - looks like the latter to me?

in a field this weekend first time off EHU in this van for four days and nothings fallen off!
Mind you were still here so better not temp fate!😂

Hi Sapper & Mike

My neighbour and I fitted them as they came balanced, most tyre fitting companies will fit them for you. running at 53psi I can say they are not any noisier than the standard Fiat alloys, mpg has gone down VERY slightly but hey they look and handle like the Monkeys, Excellent in your average grass campsite, gets you through what MOST vehicles get stuck in
i can not recommend them enough 😎

Our van is fitted with 15” steels, and have been told by Rogue no mod’s are necessary to fit the 16” alloys.

Tyre pressures…….nightmare! Fiat, Sunlight, Continental and Tyresafe UK all recommend different pressures. 🤷‍♂️

Currently running on 65psi front and 72psi rear.

Yes NEW “off road” wheels and tyres fit straight on NO rubbing just make sure the PCD is correct.
I believe mine was 5x118

steve 😎

I am selling my Alloys that came off the van if you don’t want to go down the “off road“ route

Thanks for the info! (y)

Is there any reason I couldn't fit similar BF Goodrich (or alternative brand) aggressive off-road tyres directly on to my standard 15" steel wheels?
