Rally Newbury Motorhome Show

Booked 3 weeks ago & completed Motorhome Fun Form. Arriving Friday afternoon.

Hi all Funsters arriving at Newbury. We are now on-site. Very breezy but dry and ground is hard. In a different location to the last few years as they have changed the layout of the show. Ground slopes a bit so you may need ramps. For those here in the early days of Fun, it's the other side of the hedge on the western side, same access road as campers come in from the main road. About as far away from the entertainment tent as we can be, but our marquee is up and waiting. :-D

According to Warner's list we have 91 vans arriving.

Drive safely people and see you from tomorrow.

Yours in Fun ... Robin and Hilary

Sorry ,can't make the show now.
If someone wants tickets they may collect from me near worthing ,West Sussex.

Oh that's a pity. Hopefully someone will take you up on the offer. Could you please pm us your reg no and surname as the list from Warner's doesn't have forum names.

Thanks .

Sat here in the Sun at Newbury after the Bacon Butty feast this morning.

SWMBO and me organised a Raffle to win a Prostate Cancer 'Men Only' T Shirt, (Great thanks to the lady Funster who provided, totally free of charge, two additional prizes of Wine and Chocs) Jeff, @welshcake lady for the additional pair of hands and all the Funsters attending who donated books.

As usual we had a book stall and Pin Badges , also to raise funds for Prostate Cancer research.

I am pleased to post that this morning, we raised the grand sum of £141.75:clap2::clap2::clap2:

Special thanks must also go to the youngest Funster at the rRally, "Archie" who, even though he's only four years old, and attending in his PJ's, drew out the winning tickets.

As is usual, I will be posting receipt of the above when I receive the letter from Prostate Cancer UK.

Thank you once again.

It was our first meet and had a great weekend with you guy's didn't get to meet everyone so looking forward to the next one we can attend

Greetings All,

You may have read on the other Newbury thread, (On Chat, Newbury as it happens) that the money raised had increased thanks to the generous donations from two Funsters (You two know who you are) to £166.75(y).

Well, I've just been in conversation with another Funster, who, despite my protestations has shoved another £20 in my mitt.

The Grand Total is now £186.75:Eeek::Eeek::Eeek:

We have now received the letter from Prostate Cancer UK.

Once again, Well Done everybody.

@emmitdb - you might want to blank out your address

Thanks for that Lisa but I'm not that concerned.

My address is known throughout the 'web, one way, or another.

But reading the forum allows people to know when you are away ;)

And meet our 6'2" built like a Brick Outhouse son at the same time.
Plus, and as an aside, I know you live Oop North.
We live in Cornwall, (Git Orf my Land country)

To all those funsters who very kindly offered to understudy on the short film we were heading off to shoot the day after the Newbury Show thank you :ROFLMAO: - we hope you’ll agree that our actors did a fabulous job! :)
Warning: contains (very tasteful!) nudity...!

This short film was part of the Impact50 initiative - the premise of the project being that there has been an announcement about a meteor strike that will obliterate humanity - so our short film, and others, have been produced to show what people do in their last couple of hours... The project aims to combine some of these short films into a feature-length film.

We hope you enjoy watching ‘And Then There Were Two’ as much as we enjoyed making it! (y) (if you scroll down the page with the film on, you can see some behind the scenes photos, with Steve and me on set!)
