Rally NEW Polmanter Touring Park & St Ives September Festival Meet, Cornwall 2025 * Booking open PYO best pitch*

Was looking at what's on in the area & spotted that St Ives September Festival is still on during our Meet :dance2::dance2:
https://www.stivesseptemberfestival.co.uk/whats-on-daily/
I'll be following their Facebook page too https://www.facebook.com/stivesseptemberfestival
A mixture of free & paid for events - walking tours, talks, art, music & poetry - lots of local culture :inlove:

It's lovely to have some joining us :hi5: Pitches are first come, first served, none are held so could be booked at any time by other campers. Please note that the Levant facility block (closest to Reception) will be fully open during our stay & the Wicca facility block will have it's exterior bathroom/shower rooms available but Morvah will be closed. When looking at pitches here https://www.makeamap.co/map/54f4c01880110ec870407bad/home (please note our Fun discounted price is lower than the price shown) for our Meet dates for Electric Grass & Electric Hardstanding, like which motorhome is best, which pitch is best will be different for everybody. Here's some ideas but please check on the map & see the photos of the pitches to pick your favourite of what's available:
For large motorhomes 8m-9m there are just 4 Electric Hardstanding pitches P100, P101, P103 & P105 - going up to 9m x 17m the biggest ones in this row are a little further from the main facilities than the others but all spacious.
For motorhomes up to 8m there's a few Electric Grass pitches left near to the facilities & quite a few large pitches in the quiet top area & of the Electric Hardstanding pitches there are still a few that are listed as having views P54-P58. If coming with a friend there are even some hedged pairs of two pitches - Electric Hardstanding P15 & p16 plus P17 & P18.
There is also the option of Multi-serviced pitches although a bit more costly - handy if you want a tv aerial point 📺
The Park are always happy to advise on which pitch may best suit any requirements.
Please post here or send me a PM for full details if you might like to book online or over the phone.

5) Dogs would normally be extra cost (1-2 free with our Fun Discount deal) as there are some good facilities to enhance their stay. For dog walking there's an exercise field with bench & views:;

Not just a field though it incorporates a Doggy Play Park too:

The warm shower & bath "We’ve recently upgraded our doggie wash area, and it’s now undercover in its own little building. Steps lead up to a doggie bath, and the water is lovely and warm. As a luxurious bonus, we provide shampoo for all bathing and showering pets." Plus you can give them a blow dry too!

Dogs continued - free waste bags are provided next to all the dog waste bins & so long as they keep their "paws on the floor" dogs are welcome in the Stable bar. The shuttle bus welcomes dogs too as do Cornish public buses & the Reception team can recommend the best dog friendly taxi firms & beaches locally.

6) Anyone for tennis with a view? There are two all-weather tennis courts, which can be booked for a small charge. Rackets can be hired from Reception too.

7) There's a little putting green which could be fun - putters and balls are available at Reception for no charge (y)

8) For rainy days there's a games room with 2 pool tables and a table tennis table

We can't wait to stay at Polmanter Touring Park https://www.polmanter.com/ this September & would love to have some fellow Funsters join us too! :hi5: It'll be our first time staying there but it's award winning, has great facilities & excellent reviews so coupled with being within walking distance of fabulous St Ives we think it should be great.
The Park have kindly agreed to a £5 per night reduction on their normal rates as well as no extra charges for bringing along up to 2 dogs (saving an additional £27.50-£38.50 or more) for this Meet - this applies to 5, 6 or 7 night stays with starting date Monday 22 September making rates £26.50 per night for Electric Grass, £29 per night for Electric Hardstanding or Grass Multi-serviced, or £32.50 per night for Hard-standing Multi-serviced pitches after discount. No extra charges either for a tow car or attached awning but Quest Screenhouses or similar are not to be used.
UPDATE 30/3 - whilst the core meet dates are as above the discount code will also apply to a couple of days either side when booking online so long as 5 nights or more are booked plus for an extended stay it should be possible to arrange this by phone at the same discounted rate which should help those coming from other events. Booking will open as soon as the discount code is set up with everyone being able to choose the type & location of their pitch. There's an excellent tool here https://www.makeamap.co/map/54f4c01880110ec870407bad/home so you can see each pitch & the outlook by clicking on the pitches.

There should be the opportunity for us to gather in the daytime (when no food or drink is served) in the Stable Bar & to have a reserved area in the Bar for drinks together in the evenings if wanted - of course as always there is no obligation to join in.
Whilst some may wish to relax on the Park or explore by car, it's a 30 minute 1.5 mile pleasant downhill walk into St Ives via a footpath at the back of the Park (to Steeple Lane) with the option for a taxi back if walking back up doesn't appeal at the end of the day. Once down in the town of St Ives there are lots of places to visit including the Tate Art Gallery (many free entry galleries too), Barbara Hepworth's Museum & Sculpture Garden in her former home, Leach Pottery, St Ives Museum, pleasant shopping in the historic cobbled streets with lots of tempting food & drink establishments, walk on the 7 beaches or just enjoy a coffee sat looking over the harbour or sea. We've explored St Ives many times & even in the depths of winter it has been enjoyable so hoping it's even better in September.
UPDATE: Just found there's a town Festival too https://www.stivesseptemberfestival.co.uk/ :dance2:
There are regular buses from the Malakoff https://www.google.com/maps/place/Malakoff+bus+station/@50.211025,-5.4813349,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x486add5c85a4046d:0x78842a32e6656582!8m2!3d50.211025!4d-5.47876!16s/g/11rsptfs4_?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDMyNC4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw== & a good train service just below there for scenic journeys to explore further afield to nearby Carbis Bay beach (walkable too), Penzance, Truro & a favourite of ours (bit more of a journey) Falmouth including Pendennis Castle (EH) & the Maritime Museum.

** UPDATE - schedule for the private shuttle bus service from the Park to St Ives town https://royalbuses.co.uk/bus-timetables-st-ives/bus-service-st-ives-to-polmanter-camp-site/ shows there will be a limited chargeable service for the Monday-Friday of the Meet dates - waiting on cost but this should enable more to join us all 🚌 ***

If you may wish to book at the Fun discounted rates for this Meet then please post here as "Interested" with the type of pitch you'd like & for how many nights then I'll PM with how to book.

When viewing the video please note that at this off peak time of year the pool is not open but the Stable Bar will be open nightly serving a full food/drink menu - it is one of the best times of the year to visit St Ives without all the crowds.

This is our usual site in Cornwall for our summer holiday, we've been coming here over 12 years now , if I can get some more holiday off work I'll see about joining you all , it's a really nice site , great situation, easy to get to apart from the last half mile or so through the village. As for the overnight field, we've always arrived around 11pm with no bother.
