glad to see maccy d partnering up with instavolt the best charging point are instavolt up to 150kw chargers. although dear at 35p a unit they do charge very fast.
Didn't note the price. That is a bit pricey. But the speed means it is worth the cost if you are on a long journey. Around £26 to fill up an average long range car. 100Kwh Car, 400 mile range. stop at 25% capacity after 300 miles and fill back up £26.

My van does around 400 miles on a tank and costs me £100 to fill by comparison.

Interesting test done by Polestar on it's car compared to iPace, Model 3 and eTron.

At 234 miles at 70mph that would take 3 hours and 20 minutes of driving. By then I am ready for half an hours break. A bite to eat, a coffee and a loo break taking 20-30 minutes. In that time you can charge it back up to 80%+ SOC. Giving you another 190 miles range.
That is almost 425 miles range with one pit stop for lunch. Another 3 hours of driving then another stop for 30 minutes ad infinitum.

When we bought our last car, we considered electric, but the anxiety stopped us, for most days the electric car would be fine but if caught in traffic on a cold wet day, with the heating and air con the stress would be too much. I would have gone for a plug in hybrid but it would have cost £10,000 more, so we went with petrol.

Today CEO of National Grid was asking Ofcom to allow an increase in electricity charges ( money) as the present infrastructure is failing the present demand, so all those new electric vehicles is really going to test it.
