My comment was hopefully taken as it was intended ... tongue in cheekIt is arguable as whether it could be described as coffee though.
For me the joy is also in the process of preparation.
At home I have a Rancillo Silvia Espresso machine and a Electric Rancillo Rocky grinder.
Set the correct grind for the type of coffee. 13 grams of ground coffee. Warm up espresso machine, put grounds in the porta filter. 25 secs of water. Steam wand to froth the milk. Better than any Costa, Starbucks etc.
Areopress not the same but the best to authentic coffee after an espresso machine.
That was the approach I took and am pleasantly surprised with the outcome. The pressure is enough to give a good cup of expresso and it can do a good latte, both being piping hot. Obviously depends on which ground coffee you use or like. So from me.That looks interesting and cheap enough for an experiment. I'd be interested to know how well it works.
Wut?! He's talking about coffee makers! While some people might consider their coffee a matter of life or death, it really isn't!Wow, I am shocked at such a small minded approach to sharing information. What about medical machines that need constant power, being off grid for as long as possible. Not everyone does what you do.
In the words of my Mother if you can’t say anything nice do not say anything at all.
In what way do you think your reply was helpful in any way at all?
What is important to the individual posing the question is why you should reply with your advise. Nothing else, other wise you are a troll.
Well done for starting a pile in.
Need a coffee machine for our motorhome tassimo didn’t work too high voltage any recommendations please
Clean up very similar, filter paper in the bin on one hand, unscrew the cap and "bang it in the bin" on the other. We tend to use filter coffee and paper cones in the van but I am now wondering if I should get an Aeropress ?
There seem to be lots of people on here who use them and are fans but I wonder is it messier than filter cones ?
Will it be a purchase I regret, destined to join the other items on the ‘shelf of shame’ in the garage ?
You can try mine in a couple of weeks time.........of course I have one, I am the gadget queen after all.We tend to use filter coffee and paper cones in the van but I am now wondering if I should get an Aeropress ?

We’ve used an Aeropress for years, discovered back at a Stratford Overland show you may remember. As others have commented, it makes a good coffee without too much faff or cleanup overhead. We tend to use filter coffee and paper cones in the van but I am now wondering if I should get an Aeropress ?

You see this has made me think it’s not for me.I'm concidering going from Aeropress to filter paper and cone, just because the latter is less faff to make more than one cup.
