That's why I said theoretical!. Given the cost of the IKEA one it wasn't a big deal
Moka pot. Swapped across from aeropress. Less faff, and leaves you free to do other things whilst it does it’s job.
Wow, I am shocked at such a small minded approach to sharing information. What about medical machines that need constant power, being off grid for as long as possible. Not everyone does what you do.Either of those need an awful lot of nights without ehu to pay back presuming that there are sites that offer the option of with or without. It depends how much people think it's worth paying to run a coffee maker.
Instant. 10 second job. even less faffAreopress no faff. 3 minute job.
Had the OP asked about power for medical machines he may have got a different answer, but he did only ask about Coffee machines so majority if replies are on point IMHOWow, I am shocked at such a small minded approach to sharing information. In the words of my Mother if you can’t say anything nice do not say anything at all.
In what way do you think your reply was helpful in any way at all?
What is important to the individual posing the question is why you should reply with your advise. Nothing else, other wise you are a troll.
Well done for starting a pile in.

Critical medical machines will have a secondary power source which will be supported by standby generators rather than a battery that will last a week !Wow, I am shocked at such a small minded approach to sharing information. Just in case you're not aware, the item you've linked to uses NCM batteries, which can be volatile.
Sorry for expressing an opinion!!. As others have said linking power for a medical device to powering a coffee machine seems a bit of a stretch!. My reply was in relation to someone saying they were buying kit as an investment to save on ehu fees. I was making the point that it was unlikely to be a great investment!Wow, I am shocked at such a small minded approach to sharing information. I've got a Aeropress which is fine but just taken a punt on this and really surprised at how good a cup of expresso coffee it makes. Only 700w so low power usage.

Me, I really can’t be ar§ed - but I do enjoy drinking it though!!!It is arguable as whether it could be described as coffee though.
For me the joy is also in the process of preparation.
At home I have a Rancillo Silvia Espresso machine and a Electric Rancillo Rocky grinder.
Set the correct grind for the type of coffee. 13 grams of ground coffee. Warm up espresso machine, put grounds in the porta filter. 25 secs of water. Steam wand to froth the milk. Better than any Costa, Starbucks etc.
Areopress not the same but the best to authentic coffee after an espresso machine.
Instant coffee is the most consumed and popular shouldnt dis it too much. (Just to add I won’t be using an electric espresso machine in the MoHo) I use instant, buy ground coffee and also a grinder which at the moment has decaf beans in 13grams may be a little light 16 and 26-28 seconds to produce 60ml of espresso is about right. It is arguable as whether it could be described as coffee though.
