NEC Motorhome & Caravan Show 15-20 October 2019 - Useful or Interesting Stuff!

I’ll be going on Sunday my first necMotorhome show I have a list
There is a Shop & Drop area 12.240 (not far from Fun stand) if you don't want to carry any shopping around - it is marked on the paper map that can be picked up at the info. points. We usually take one large rucksack but many bring or buy pull along crate trolleys. Not everything is cheaper though so always worth checking online too. It's a lot of Halls so worth planning your must do stands as easy to get led astray by all the shiny toys!

Lol thanks yes agree it’s like motorbike show up there got to lock for bargains lol I’m really after a tv and side mount bracket to fit my cupboard not sure which tv but most people seam to go got avtex

If you haven't already then it's worth doing a search on tv here as lots of posts & info. or post a thread asking for ideas for the bracket especially. We tried Avtex (few years ago) & sent it back & have a 12v Finlux which we prefer although we do use an Avtex case to store it for travel. The Vision Plus bracket is a good accessory making it easy to remove.

Another free coffee offer! If you are on the mailing list for Isabella Club then check your email for an invitation to have coffee & enter a competition on their stand 17.34 :) Can join here https://www.isabella.net/uk/isabella-club for future mailshots.

Saturday for us, I've already got my list of stands and a route drawn on the map, plus we'll browse a bit, just accessories for us and we're extremely good at avoiding unwanted tat!

Yeah I believe you ... you'll have to tell us what 'useful' tat you've bought once you've been! :giggle:

Yes we are there now. Only hardstandings in use, fortunately we had precooked one of these. Warden says they have had to cancel all the grass pitch bookings, they are very disappointed as hoped it would be dry over weekend as had so many booked in going to the show this week but unfortunately it wasnt so pitches never dried out. It’s poured down again here all afternoon.

Thanks wombles I just booked tickets for Sunday ?

I think we saw that but decided on the reservoir at shustoke. 4 Van's here

Had a smashing day at the NEC today.

Met Jim and a few other Funsters and had a good look around the new A class models available. Bit shocked at the prices tho and some of the payloads!

Hubby now picked his dream vehicle and we just have to wait a couple of years for them to come onto the 2nd hand market :D2

Went yesterday, up at 5.30,on the road by 7am, two hour journey, straight into spoons for breakfast then into show, knackered. Would have liked to be there again today for a more chilled out look around.

Check out the payload, we asked one of the sales guys and it wasn’t listed in the brochure. It struck me as not being that much if it’s the same van we looked at.

Wont be back here in a hurry though. Lot of road noise, a couple of music blaring cars arrived but left after a while. Pretty enough spot though and if you're a good sleeper then it will be fine.

I find the NEC too hot and bright. Left by 2pm as hot and headachey.
I’m sure they must lose some sales because people are too tired to continue. And there is always a bottleneck between two of the halls.

Felt marginally less busy than last year and the staff were in good spirits. Made the decision I prefer a Concorde to a Morelo.
