Nationwide Flex Plus ????

I’ve claimed twice on the phone insurance with no affect on my house , but things may have changed? Still can’t fault nationwide for us - £30 existing conditions, & £30 trip extension for our upcoming trip to Spain.

Why would you bother even claiming for a £200 phone? By the time you pay the excess not worth claiming for, I certainly would not even think about claiming for a low value item, insurance company’s are in business to make money.
The mobile phone cost me £50 excess and is worth more than the £200 they suggested or claimed but for that cost on my bank accounts insurance it adversely affected my renewal which I did not expect or was advised about

Dont forget that nationwide flex account is going upto £18 pm thats £60 year extra.
Still good value for personal breakdown cover EU included and worldwide travel insurance. You can easily pay that just for breakdown. For me it's covering 3 vehicles.

I'm considering cancelling my flex account as I wouldn't claim for the phone , the travel insurance doesn't cover 6 months and the breakdown has a limit of 8 metres .

And it goes up to 18 per month from 13 in December.

To be precise - the 8 metre limit is only in EU not in UK. Most policies don't cover 6 more months

Really? Including the numerous medical conditions most motorhomers seem to require?
I'm not most motorhomers .

I didn't say anyone else should cancel theirs... I just think for me it's no longer worth it.

I don't have any medical conditions yet thankfully

I have it purely for the breakdown cover but I'm also covered by safeguard at the minute

I did just have a look as I'd not heard of backpacker insurance. Still couldn't find anything under £200 for a couple/ worldwide (with no medical conditions)

Can you recommend a company worth looking at?

I'm a singleton so mine usually costs around £90- 100

I've never used the same one twice though. I just use compare the market or moneysupermarket to find one .

Haven't bothered a couple of years .

Just a big up for Nationwide Flex Plus breakdown and the AA. Not the motorhome but the Freelander tip truck.
Thursday lost power steering so pulled over and found alternator free wheel pulley had disintegrated and chucked the aux belt. Limped a few hundred yards to a garage who couldn't do anything for a week. Called Nationwide breakdown line and got advised to use the AA App.
11.35 logged breakdown, 11.55 AA van arrived. Given 3 options 1) charge battery and drive home or to another garage with no power steering, 2) disconnect prop shaft and tow to wherever, 3) wait for a full size tow truck to get me wherever.
Went for option 1) and got the battery charging from his van. Offered a couple of days free hire car as part of the breakdown cover. Filled out the paperwork on his Phone. After about 20 mins battery showed 96% charge so off we went. The AA van followed me for nearly 50 miles to make sure the battery lasted, which it did. Once home he hooked up his van to replenish the battery. Enterprise dropped a car off an hour later.
Birthday yesterday so used hire car for a trip to coast.
Got an alternator next day delivery and fitted it today and all good again
1st class service from Nationwide, AA and Enterprise ,👍👍
