My van would be perfect if .......

My moho would be even more perfect if the drop down bed didn't squeak with every movement! It's a Bavaria i600
Loosen all the bolts and spray all the bolds & bushes with PTFE and it will be silent.

I have an Adria as well and have to slam the door to shut it properly. A common issue with Adria.
Surely that's down to Fiat and not Adria. My Campscout needs a bit of tugging after seven days without opening it. Going to try a silicon spray on the rubber seals.

Our van would have been perfect if it had a roof.
Roof box got caught on a hidden low hanging branch whilst we were going down a narrow lane.
Insurance company didn't want to know, so we had to scrap it 🚙🪦.
We now have a trailer and a tent 🏕️.

Our van is perfect, it’s a caravan. After having 4 motorhomes where every layout was a compromise our caravan has the best layout and gives us the most comfort. Of course the compromise is Michael having to tow.

CARAVAN....argh......(makes sign of the cross).....:ROFLMAO:

Did that on our 2011 Pilote following your suggestion about your previous Hymer.
Worked a treat. Just done it again now as I think the temperature makes a difference too. Like me it prefers Spain May June and September rather than UK any other time. :giggle: ☀️

As that doesn't effect the passenger if I was you I wouldn't worry too much  ::bigsmile:

What actually happened? Did it rip the roof off? I'm so sorry you couldn't get it repaired x

Yes, it separated from the body a bit like a sardine tin.

Oh no! That must have been quite scary, as well as annoying. I'm so sorry that happened to you x

The rear bow camera were not above the high level brake light. The red flare when reversing at night is a nightmare.
I have painted to top of the light with black paint to see if that helps.

OK I think mine would be perfect if:
The access to the outside lockers through the saloon seats was re-purposed by adding a floor so they became storage
The Alde heating was diesel rather than gas
The fridge was a condenser type
The drop down bed was replaced with the optional "Sky Dream" version
The table was smaller
They hadn't mounted the inside temp sensor next to the tec-tower oven (which is too high to be safe)
The floor hatch lift rings were flush fitting rather than making lumps in the carpets
The rod and hook type cupboard door latches were the metal versions, rather than the ones made of cheese
They had prepared the surfaces for items fixed in place by velcro and double sided tape, so they stay put
The beds weren't so high you can't sit up in bed, presumably so we could put bikes in the garage
The TV ariel also supplied a signal to the rear TV (as standard is satellite only)
The curtesy lights in the underbed cupboards were wired to the 12v system, and not battery types.
The clock didn't have to be unscrewed from the bulkhead to correct the time/change the battery
The front suspension was properly set so the empty van was level, and had some suspension travel
The tyre pressure monitoring system was set to a sensible range, or user adjustable
The RHD version of the German made LHD van was properly converted, rather than leaving controls on the passenger side (I can live with the door)
The tank drains weren't right next to the hab door, close to your feet when you operate the valves
The sinks drained a little quicker than dead slow
That the grey water sensor was accessible from the inspection hatch for cleaning/servicing
The addblue fill point was on the same side as the diesel, and the flap opened in the correct way or the pipe pointed so a pump will fit
A basic electrical system diagram was provided
The manual covered all optional items

But nothings perfect and I can live with that lot and the stuff I've just got used to like screw covers......
