I wish you all the very best for your forthcoming battle - in fact we have something in common - I have just been diagnosed with Cancer of the oesophagus and am about to start chemo & radio therapy soon so stay strong and fight!!

@Candy Floss Your post has bought back memories of 13 years ago when my wife Pat was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, it was caught just in time.
Pat was admitted into hospital and operated on within 2 days and they removed a massive growth which was half a millimetre from breaking out and spreading.
Good news came 3 years ago when Pat was discharged from hospital appointments and even her travel insurance became cheaper.
So best wishes with your treatment and recovery we are thinking of you.

On the upside, this is one cancer that can and does get beaten..
A close family member had it several years ago... chemo worked and it never came back..
Plan to be around a LONG time ! :-)

The wig looks great as is your attitude under difficult circumstances...
You make me feel ashamed...i saw the thread earlier and didnt open it as i sort of guessed fron the title it wasnt going to be happy reading.... how stupid ... you cant hide from the ups and downs of life can you.? And you certainly arnt doing thar with such a posotive attitude...:xThumb:

Sorry to hear this @Candy Floss and I'm sure with your positive attitude you'll beat it. On the morning thread we have PPP (positive purple power) which a few people have been the successful recipients of :xThumb: and that fits nicely with pink so sending you PPP

Life can be so cruel but your excellent positive attitude together with treatment will hopefully soon deliver a great result .

Is it just me but this seems to crop up just before Christmas for a lot of people, certainly the three close to me who have been diagnosed in recent years, including me way back. Nice to see you staying positive, the other way probably makes it less bearable. Good luck with the treatment.

Update I saw my Consultant on Thursday and he is very plead and I am responding to treatment, 3rd chemo next Thursday then scan. Here is my pink wig and I love it and I m feeling very well.. tks for all your good wishes.

Only just seen this thread ... you look amazing in your wig and what a beautiful smile. Keep positive and know that we are all thinking of you. There are many of us on this forum who belong to the big C club so we understand fears, hopes, ups and downs .. please keep posting even if on a down moment.. we can be there for you.

(I loved my wig .. it was nicer than my own hair .. just itched a bit :) )

Put marks on a paper for the chemo sessions due and cross each one off so you see the end of the tunnel.
