Mud Flaps - Worthwhile?

Our Fiat front flaps definitely needed Sikaflex to hold the top tight to bodywork. Our van is white and I used white sikaflex, but I also used a couple of claps to hold the flaps tight while the sikaflex set and they are fixed so close to the bodywork that the sealant doesn't show.

I used black on mine although you can’t see it protruding outside of the flaps if you don’t use to much of the stuff - thin bead on the rear of the flaps before offering them up and wipe any excess off if it squishes out.

Can’t comment about the rears as they wouldn’t fit on our coachbuilt anyway.

I purchased a couple of cheap black rubber ones, they came with a metal plate..

I then fitted a 1x1” wooden batten just behind the rear wheel, and secured the mud flaps.

They work just fine.

Ive been reading all the above answers and thought that looks like a good thing to do..... I've got a 2021 Ducato PVC camper van, and I was about to book it in for its service and MOT at our nearest Fiat specialists. I rang them and asked if they could fit some mud flaps for me at the same time (I'm not in anyway a woman who knows what to do with the contents of the toolbox) They said no!! Said that each time they'd ordered some in for customers, they'd got the wrong ones so now they won't do them! They said if I could find some that were definitely the right type, they would fit them for me, for a charge. It doesn't inspire much confidence in me if they never learned how to order the correct parts from their own company. Is it me??!!

Try the Partswork-uk website as the guy at the other end of their chat was very good and advised me of the front mudflaps to order and that I couldn’t fit the Fiat rear flaps due to my van being a Maxi with 16” wheels.

They’re yet to arrive so I can’t be 100% certain that they’re the correct ones but I’m confident from what the guy said but must admit I still have my fingers firmly crossed!

Mine is a Citröen Jumper base and albeit the front wheel arches have the square holes for the plastic inserts for the screws to fit mud flaps, the Citröen dealer has told me that they do not sell them (?). This has me rather perplexed at the moment.

Thanks-is that Partsworld UK rather than Partswork UK? I can only find the former.
Here you go…
