MOTORHOME AVERAGE PAYLOAD

I agree with that but I thought “toad” was an American term adopted to distinguish flat towed vehicles (A frame) from trailer towed and dolly towed cars. Just thought I would introduce a different point of contention because I am getting a bit bored with whether a satellite dish is essential :).

Aha! But it has been converted to A Frame as well! Kind of a Towed Toad, I suppose.

We tend not to use the A Frame having once blown the engine up through our own stupidity; and to avoid technical arguments in a different languages with the Carabinieri, Polizei and Gendarmerie

I thought it only meant what the Americans call flat towed and we call A framing.

apart from the numerous places all over the Uk & elsewhere where there is no signal. Inside North Devon hospital, using 3, this afternoon being one such place.
and as a foil to the 'yesterdays technology' providing you can get a good signal the data usage is a factor:
How much data does live streaming use?
HD-quality video uses about 0.9GB (720p), 1.5GB (1080p) and 3GB (2K) per hour. UHD quality video uses a lot of data. A 4K stream uses about 7.2GB per hour.
When I do watch TV, which isn't that much, I much prefer to have HD quality, as listed above would be 3GB an hour - but I have no idea if this is correct info or not? I would rather keep my data usage for the internet and use a sat dish for TV. Oyster V has also new technology that was demonstrated at Dusseldorf recently which is quite impressive - we have it and it works a treat.

I think the majority of people have unlimited now, limits are a bit old fashioned in this tech world, they will be in oblivion when 5G arrives properly (y)

Wow, must be a lot of wealthy people out there. I have 30 gb of data and would not want to spend any more than the £25 per month on mobile data I have now.

There's plenty of offers that crop up with most of the service providers where you can get unlimited data for around £20 / month. For example three currently have unlimited data for £20 month on a 12 month contract.

I have 3gb for my £9.75 a month, dish already fitted to van when we bought it so as long as it works will just continue.

You Mean when the Chinese Government (Huawei) get to run the system? :reel:

Of course the real way to go is Short wave radio, after all it`s the only thing that will still work when the Rogue nuclear device is detonated in the upper atmosphere, cutting all communication at a stroke. (y)

I would use more than one hour a month though

To be fair, we too have a Sat System which came with the `van. So my outlay was just for a second Sky box off fleabay, and we just take the sky card with us. Because we already have a small Full sine wave inverter to run some medical kit, we can run the whole off Battery if we feel like it.

Smarty unlimited data for £18 per month on Three network, no contract.

But we also have satellite.

Ah but might all change after the B...x t... event, when uk providers current contracts expire and need renewing with their current European counterparts.

So I cancel if it no longer works for me, no minimum contract, no exposure.
