Right, didnt buy anything else at the newbury show, booked into the stratford show just now, (where i will be spending... new battery time)
Will be there from about midday Monday.

So everyone will have to suffer the mad rat man and woman a bit more i'm afraid... most people seemed to like them, just one 'eeeeeek' moment as we left the marquee saturday night.

It's Tatyana's (the blue fat one) first birthday in a weeks time, so at least you wont have to suffer the madness of us celebrating it with presents and a cake and candle... did that with the boys last year, they ate the candle and left the cake :RollEyes:

And of course, i'll have my little vinyl cutter with me in the van again, upmarkethippy has some graphics off me at newbury, but as we werent parked with the club, i doubt anyone else knew we could do vinyl graphics... unless you saw my dog with the clubs logo on her panniers :)

I have spoken to the organisers today and they are more than happy for us to have the same plot as last year. But I don't think it will work. We were tight enough last year with around 25 motorhomes. This year it looks like it will be nearer 50 (which is double the number of most other clubs) :Eeek: We will need to re-think. I will check it out when I get there, but I imagine we will be in the centre (weather permitting) as it will be the only place big enough to pitch us all together. :Smile:

Another one nearer 50 - we're booked for Thursday. We'll be looking for a nice quiet pitch, sea view, not near the riffraff. One has one's standards. Two pints of green top and the Times each morning my good man.

Ok, :BigGrin:

Incase any of you early arriver's don't know where it is, and assuming the organisers don't tell us different, go through the entrance gate and carry on to the stands, keeping the stands on your left and the race course on your right drive almost down to the bottom of the course. You will cross a dirt track which leads to an entrance gate on your left, park up the otherside of this track.

I would advise you to fill with water if you need to near the entrance gate, as their may not be any down our end.

Don't know how many went last year but space was tight. With almost 50 this year I doubt we will fit, but we were not in the alocated camping area due to the flooding. Hopefully no rain this year and more space.

did you book with motorhomefun or as a general camper?

if you booked as a general camper you wont be allowed to camp with us......ring the organisers and ask to be pitched with us......much more fun than stuck in the general area.

We won't be arriving till Friday, so leave room for a little un :)

Why not be the 50th Funster to go to Stratford? Its going to be a glorious sunny weekend, you will be able to wander around the motorhome show, take a stroll into historic Stratford, in the evening you will be able to squeeze into the Funster marquee, meet lots of other funsters and put faces to names. The annual Motorhome and US RV show is being held at Stratford Racecourse from 5th-7th June.

Visitors will be able to attend the exhibition as often as they like and enjoy 2 nights of cabaret and a firework display on Saturday evening.

As Stone Leisure has use of the racecourse for the full week prior to the show and our marshalls are happy to be on site during that time, members will again be able to attend this show for a full week.

The Pre-booked club rates are:-
Arrival Day Monday - £43
Arrival Day Tuesday - £38
Arrival Day Wednesday - £33
Arrival Day Thursday - £28
Arrival Day Friday - £23

Departures must be completed by noon on Monday 9th June 2009.

The rally fee includes 2 adults, extra adults £5 each. Children Free.

These rates apply to pre-bookings only and Pre-booking closes on 22/5/2009. Please ensure you put MotorhomeFUN down as your club to receive these special club rates.

Your marshal's for this show will be Jim & Sian - Bryan & Suzy

Hi Jim,
Jean & I will be there first thing on Saturday all being well. We arrive back from Turkey Friday morning, pick up our refurbished campervan from Wellhouse Leisure in the afternoon and will leave Chesterfield about 6am Saturday.
