suppose I had just picked up the motorhome from them and it stated the weight I could say well that's ok I weigh x amount and that brings total weight to 3499 kg. On the way home I have a crash and for what ever reason the motorhome gets weighed and I am 3550 my insurance won't pay out so I refer them to my MOT certificate which 10 mins previously had stated my weight. With no tolerance being indicated + or -

This scenario is unlikely but not indeed impossible
 
If it's not part of the test he shouldn't have put it down as a advisory then?
My mot tester put some advisories on there for my information

He's trying to be helpful but if you don't see the whole picture it could be perceived as poor maintenence if selling
