Morocco 23

the Roads situation is changing fast, we rode along part of the new road from Sidi Ifni to Plage Blanche yesterday, good 2 lane Tarmac. planning on Mhamid after Amtoudi, heard it's a good road now
Is that the R102 down In to Icht that you are on about? Amtoudi looks interesting so if you go that way please let us know.

The dealers have a not very technical method of getting their livestock onto the top tier . Ropes and a lot of strong men. We watched but didn't get pictures of the system but it didn't seem like the cattle enjoyed the experience.

March 2020 we went from Tafroute to Ait Mansour then down the R 107 to N12. It's a fantastic road but I'm struggling to work out exactly where Amtoudi is! Good luck

We we are at Tafraout! The guardien parking is dry(no mud!) and not as many vans we’ve seen previously. Predominantly French of course🙄 Can’t speak for the town, haven’t been in yet.
The road,R104, is excellent in parts and reasonable in others but the last few miles into Tafraout is dire😳 Full of potholes and raised manholes after erosion of the road. If you’re coming that way take care!

Because the road which looked interesting on a map was seriously rough and difficult and easy to get lost
that one is actually the N1 just below Imsouane. It's a lot easier this time with Google maps working.

So from your pics Ali, I take it that you’re pitched on the guardian Camping behind the new college?

It’s a fair walk to the new borne with a full cassette. I do hope the French aren’t tipping down the numerous wells dotted along the dry river gully. 🤞

Yes that’s the one. As for the borne, we wondered how anyone coming here would know where to empty the cassette🤔 We only know from info on here(MHF) and know it is a bit of a trek to get to it.
But we are right next to the gully so will keep an eye out for anyone tipping into it 😳

You will need to sit with your window open and shout out "oh mon Dieu you dirty buggers" then hide!! sorry but Google translate of dirty buggers looked a bit dodgy to me!! I speak a little bit of French and it wasn't right!

Did you ever see the one with the toilet on a concrete plinth? People were ever so careful how they tipped their casettes into the toilet even though you could see that there was no pipe and everything just ran out into the gully behind it

just wondering how the weather is in Tafraoute now? thanks

We are in merzouga, and even if you think the children are a pain, this lot was waiting at the top to sell us sand!

Sorry video too large to send.

Sunny and warm today but still a bit breezy at times with sudden gusts. Managed to get our Quest Screen House up earlier and so far it’s still standing🙏 Much calmer this evening.

“The new bridge over the river in Tafraout and they’ve also concrete lined the river bed.”

Nice and wheelchair friendly then….😆 it’s a good job I’m adaptive and don’t mind getting a dusty arse…😂😎
