I believe a titre test is required to re enter Spain, I am also trying to find out all the requirementsWe will be travelling in January and want information regarding pets. Ours has an EU Pet Passport, up to date rabies inoculations, a properly fitted identification chip and would like any further advice.
Our dogs titre test is a separate certificate, it was not entered on her eu passport and this was pre BrexitI'm wondering now that even if I manage to get a UK vet to do the titre how the antibody result can be added to my dog's EU passportI think only an EU vet can authorise any entries to the passport. A UK titre test done in an EU approved lab I guess would be ok for the AHC though. It's a right pain.
Just trying to get my head around to the exchange rate.
£1 is 13 MDH
£10 is 130MDH etc
so now looking for an easy way to divide by 13?
so looking at 285
2 x 130 = 260 is £20 leaving 25 divided by 13 so roughly 2 so £22
497
4 x 130 = 520 is £40 leaving 23 divided by 13 so roughly £38
Does it help ?
or is there an easier way?
20.2 degrees here, sorry, I did get completely soaked in the rain earlier today though, ferry from/to where? We are still freezing in Scotland!
ferry on Saturday night, but as it’s so cold cannot think of pressuring the water system.
or putting any water in, as all frozen.
Do the paperwork on the boat.So just for info I bought a ticket From Carlos Yesterday Algerciras to Tanger Med 280 Euros forgot to mention MHF derr!
So hopefully I can navigate from this campsite (Camping Sureuropa) without taking a wrong turn for the 10:30 Ferry Thursday, They say I've got to be an hour early.
There's two ID forms is it best to fill them in, in advance or wait and do it on the ferry?
I've read through all these posts which are xtremely helpfull thanks to all contributers
I think I'll visit Morrisons Gibralter tomorrow to top up on diesel and google maps says I can top up my LPG tank there aswell, and I'll see if I can restock on my weetabix lol!
I think apart from Terrorist kidnappers the only other things that make me slightly nervous about Africa are snakes and scorpions oh and of course the mossies although there doesn't seem to be any about at the moment with all this rain.
I'm currently sampling Carlos's wine that I read about in previous posts (the one he gave me was Conde Noble Vino Tinto 2021) its not that bad but I prefer the sparkling type personally.
If anyones booked on the same ferry I'd love to liase if not only to help each other with the paperwork.
Hiya,
I'm not 100% sure as it wasn't my post originally but I believe it was for his motorhomeHiya,
I am wanting to travel to Morocco in my motorhome, what is the €200 insurance for?
Thanks for the info again, the price was for one person ( 1 Pasajeros + Autocaravana) I'm on my own.The two forms are (probably) the Moroccan Immigration, different colours (?), one for entry and one for exit. Last trip Carlos didn't have any so we got them on the ferry - fill them in whenever you want although leave the return dates blank until you, erm, return. Don't forget to register on the ferry - look for the queue for the police post.
Defo fill your gas cylinders, no refillable systems in Morocco. Fuel however seems to be a lot cheaper so I'd wait - there's a fuel station about 25km south on the motorway.
Finding the Algeciras port is easy, it's well signposted off the A7 either from the east or the west. Follow signs for "TANGER" then pick the correct lane for your ferry company - it'll almost certainly be the one with the longest queue! Ignore the "helpers" you don't need them.
Was €280 for one or two people? If the latter prices are slowly coming back down thank goodness! Also looks like the "quality" of Carlos' wine is improving but no cake?
Just ordered my Green Card and 3 months medication - no apparent problems with either for a change!
Sorry I attached the images but wanted to write a comment and couldn't see where, without risking it not posting. Thanks for that, first one of no real consequence unless you're taking a lot of cash into the country. The second is the Immigration form - note the C.I.N at the top is your Moroccan Identity number, which they will issue you with and stamp into your passport if you don't already have one. Make sure you can read the stamp before you leave the desk, get the officer to write it in if not. Rest is self-explanatory. As for Provenance and Destination we just put where we've come from (Algeciras) and where we plan to stop for the night. Address in Morocco "touring" seemed to work okay.
Thats exactly where I go.Do the paperwork on the boat.
I don't know about getting LPG in Morrisons and if not , the easiest is at the Los Barrios services just up the A 381 to Jerez.( You can turn round and come back from there) Whichever, it's definitely worth filling up somewhere.
Have a good trip
two processes; Your visa is issued on the boat, vehicle stuff done in Tanger Med PortSorry I attached the images but wanted to write a comment and couldn't see where, without risking it not posting.
They are images of the same form the first is the back the second the front, I was given two of them identical (same colour) with my ticket.
So do you fill them in with the officer present (to witness) on the ferry or can you prefill some of the items beforehand to save time, I suppose its a 90 minute crossing of course so should be plenty of time, just thinking if there's many people to process it might help a little.
Do you have to have your registration document present at this time to carry out the vehicle import procedure?
Sorry for all the newbie questions appreciating your help.
No booze in the van at the moment so no, I can take it or leave it and I read they don't allow you to import alcohol so not bothering.Thats exactly where I go.
Jeffr3y Are you taking what booze you want with you? its much more difficult to buy over there.
If you re going on Acciona, be ready for a big step on the ramp, if you have assisters pump them up to max and take the ramp diagonally.
We had a few litres of gin and vino ! They customs looked in the garage !not botherd about the alcohol just asked if I had a drone or a weapon ,No booze in the van at the moment so no, I can take it or leave it and I read they don't allow you to import alcohol so not bothering.
Thanks for the LPG tip I'll check it out, and the ramp info.
Morocco as a whole is a fairly tolerant country, even the speed traps are done with good humour. Ive had boxes of wine stacked next to the scooter and they don't bother. Whoever referred to importing is talking at cross purposes; own consumption and importing are entirely different. We had a few litres of gin and vino ! Where are these toll tags purchased from and do they cover all motorways, do you top up online after you get the tag? tia.We have purchased a toll tag for the motoway in maroc , they charged 5mad for the tag ! Then the top up 285mad that's from Marrakech to agadir then safi to tangier ! Great not having to stop to get your card from the little darlings that are standing buy the machine wanting dirhams for passing it to you !
How times have changed. Three times we have visited Maroc and always used the Motorway to get south and never once came across 'little darlings standing by the Machine'. It really is so easy to pay at the booth and as TerryL said take carry some cash. Safe JourneyWe have purchased a toll tag for the motoway in maroc , they charged 5mad for the tag ! This is my first visit and after reading that post I was wary, I couldn't see anyone hovering around the toll booths but as I got into the lane of no return a chap appeared to my right, I let him cross and he walked round to the side of the ticket dispenser. How times have changed. I think what you were subjected too was not potential Moroccan skullduggery but typical Moroccan kindness and honesty. The street sellers and souk dealers will fleece you with a great smile and a warm handshake if you allow them too but my experience is of a people who are very friendly and having a desire too look after visiting tourists. Once you have been in the country for a short while all will become clearer. This is my first visit and after reading that post I was wary, I couldn't see anyone hovering around the toll booths but as I got into the lane of no return a chap appeared to my right, I let him cross and he walked round to the side of the ticket dispenser.
As I'm as makems said "Toll tag would be useful for any solo travellers in RH drive vans. Save scrambling across to the passenger side to get a ticket and to pay." it took me awhile to unbuckle etc, so he'd taken the ticket, but rather than ask for anything simply handed it to me!
I did have an expensive berghaus jacket on the passenger side seat which he spotted and gestered to ask if I'd swap him for his one which of course I declined and drove through.
Another lesson learnt though nothing expensive on the drivers side seat I was lucky he could have just grabbed it and run off.
