Well! I was impressed with your haggling skills.
I managed to get a speeding fine dowd to MAD100 last time:D without beer.
3 yeArs ago Gwen got the speeding fine down to zero! She just refused to pay.
I had demanded to see the speed on the radar gun just to check that they weren’t just having us on, but no, she was bang to rights.
I don’t think they had ever come across a woman driving a Moho before who was quite as bolshy and didn’t know what to do.
They just told her not to do it again!

We left the sand dunes of Merzouga today

The pictures are so good you see them twice!

A lady here rang Diamonte Verte Fes
Today. It is open.

For the second time on this trip I got short changed at a petrol station( 80 dhm) Thankfully both times I sussed it and was immediately given the right money.

Those are Renault 4s Weve seen them a couple of times over here. In fact we met a few today.

Thanks to one and all who joined us for beer o'clock today. It turned out to be a good one. We plan to have many more before we depart. One of the great aspects of being a Funster in Morocco.

Found a new game whilst in Maroc called Mullah or Moped brought about by the sound of the call to prayers several times during the day. Because the quality of the mullahs voice through age old dilapidated speakers is so poor it can often sound like one of those annoying whining mopeds you hear in the distance hence the guessing game we play "mullah or moped" :D

We've seen (and got tied up with) the R4 Maroc Rallye several times. They always look as if they're having a whale of a time. But where do they stay?

A few years ago in Tafroute half a dozen of them parked up outside of the hotel down by the river bed opposite where the market is. So they parked up and just stayed the night at (possibly) the best hotel in Tafroute. Obviously not short of a bob or three.
@PhilandMena will remember it as the place where we watched a few 6 nations games and some Premiership footy. It was also a place with decent wifi unless you were wanting to stream the 6 Nations that is!

if you keep going upwards then you can come down the gorges de todra.
either go up to agoudal or cut it shorter and turn right on the piste half way up and head for ait hani. there was a restaurant halfway along the piste but its always been closed when we went by.
going around those bends is a bit scary in my mini artic but it can do it.
just take your time dont rush.

Apparently cutting across to join the 2 gorges is really rough, not recommended for Motorhomes.

probably better to go back to Boulemain Dades and going to Todra.

Anyone done the surf board this year ???

Don't think so Cheif. Only a handful of Brits here this year. The general consensus is the Green Card fiasco has put many off.

Err................ I think there is another fiasco going on that is putting many people off.

Starting to worry that if there is no deal it could be problamatic to travel back through France and Spain. Theoretically no International Driving Permit and Comfort now seem to be offering a Green Card (£20) for the EU countries that were previously covered.AS far as I am concerned I have a policy that states I am covered in all the EU until renewal date.................but no doubt in the small print it says they can shaft me any time they want. The local Plod will also want to take part in the fun no doubt.

Meant to say............... thanks again to you and others for the photos and info...................it is the reason that I am now seeing those things for myself

I wouldn't worry too much. I drove cars and commercial s in Europe many times pre EU and have never yet been asked to see licence or insurance.

I MO the police have better things to do than get involved with political squabbles.
