Morelo or Niesmann?

You’ve got me looking now and I can honestly say I can’t see screws anywhere. There are no screws under the shelves covered or otherwise. Are you sure it was a Concorde you looked at?

I’m genuinely puzzled... Where were they?

The screws... where were they?

Under shelves and the likes as pointed out by the salesman

He also pointed out the poor finish of the fibreglass on the rear of the bonet of a Burstner

Careful 596 will be providing his complete analysis of Concordes so you both know what's what?

Yes, probably! :giggle:

The thing is I’m at a loss to know how a vehicle costing more than £286,000 could be described as looking cheap and having exposed screws. I’m not blind to the shortcomings of Concorde with regard to the exterior but the interior is very good indeed.

As I said, I’d like to know where these bloody screws are because I certainly can’t see any!

There are no screws under the shelves of a Concorde... none... neither capped or otherwise that I can see. What shelves are you referring to?

To lure you into a false sense of security Robert, "I am an honest guy, honestly guv" then just when you think it's safe to declare your hand he's got you! Maybe?

Woah back I never said anything about screws that was Robert.?

Sounds like he was trying quite hard to sell a Carthago ?

Martin
Maybe so, but sadly he cloud not match couldn’t match the 20% discount we were offered by another Carthago dealer

Edit
He originally offered us zero discount but then increased it to 10% off a 12 month old van which was in the showroom

I never said you did... I somehow double posted and the reply should have been for Robert I’ve been trying to get Robert to indicate where the screws were.

As you only quoted me in the post I went with the logic. I accept your generous apology.?

More of an explanation than an apology. :giggle:

For some reason unknown to me my messages became jumbled. My earlier messages were to Robert with regard to the ‘screws’... perhaps it should have been clear the post wasn’t directed at you... but no matter.

I’m OCD about little things like exposed screws
So when we meet up I shall carry out a detailed survey of your van and photograph all exposed screws

Mrs C will then carry out a detailed inspection wearing her white gloves

Wondering why discussions about ‘quality’ vans seldom include Concorde anymore?

Absolutely no need Mr Clark.

Take it from me that if there were anything resembling an exposed screw head or any other untoward exposure I would notice it. You can take it from me, having spent about a year living in our vehicle, I can tell you there are none, absolutely none.

As for Mrs C and her white cotton gloves.... I myself have chamois leather gloves buttoned wrist to crook of elbow... no contest!

Yes I have to agree with you, the interior on our old 2005 Concorde is top quality, not sure where he means.

Not sure about Concorde but our Flair had some screw heads that were visually blinded but not plastic capped as indeed we do on the Morelo. Sometimes they are less intrusive by not making a feature of a plastic cover cap. One does have to look to find them. I have attached a pic of some behind our door jam in the toilet compartment.

That's not poor quality though with exposed screw heads all over as said.
I am off for another look at ours.

Just pulling your leg

Thinking about a rear lounge Concorde as our next van

Either that or a Swift

Our friends have one with the rear lounge... it gives a lot of space and the kitchen area is fab. I was wondering about the bedroom area and whether it would be a bit claustrophobic... it wasn’t. Very nice indeed.

Should be a new Charisma out at Dusseldorf next year?

Martin

Comes down to subtle differences but for us the Kitchen in the Morelo Palace would decide it for us,

Incidentally the Morelo “novel” kitchen doesn’t really give you much over the standard one now as they have changed the hob so they are now both the same.

Martin
There is a small increase in surface area I think but the difference is in the angled arrangement to the adjoining bench seat which adds a touch of style.

Who was it that include a free umbrella?
Its not Swift, they never mentioned a free umbrella to me! BUT when I told the salesman I wanted the extra payload for dive equipment he did ask if we all had and took drysuits, I guess he thought we would be going somewhere where it rains a lot!
