And this afternoon the "4 Hard Standings" in the field will be finished....

Will post picture later.. (y)

Off to start building the designated "Elasan Point" disposal today..

So no more lifting Man Hole Covers... (y)

You are doing well, VeryOldTypeFella. Don’t forget our 24 carat gold edge invitation to visit, but only when you have completely finished, which knowing you will be never, or you will move, or sumfink.

That’s looking great, well done. (y)

Would you consider putting a retractable roof over the site mo just for those odd days when the weather is less than friendly, oh and some industrial heaters scattered around, something like this.

Hard standings in the field all finished.. :dance2: For now.....

Will probably extend and widen a little later.. But having to pay nearly £200 a load to have the top soil and clay taken away and approx 140 ton of crushed aggregate and topping stone/shingle that`s it for now.. :frowny:

The smallest hard is 6 mtrs long X just over 3 mtrs wide the other 3 are slightly bigger... My M-home fits on OK`ish with the overhang over the grass, and that I think has a huge over hang for the size of M-home...

Room for 2.... 36-38ft RV`s on front hard standing or 3 - 4 long Eurovan`s..

Next to do is plant a load of tree`s (which we have) in boggy ground ie Weeping Willows and Popular... by all accounts both types drink Gallons and Gallons of water... :pray2:

And erect a Shed/Summer house to store loads of outdoor Tables & Chairs, and to house loads off DVD`s for anyone who want`s to watch (when it`s "Raining"... :giggler:) .. and all the Volley Ball & Badminton and Petanque gear in..

Few more photo`s and that`s it for a while...

Bon Voyage Dave & Jaci..... and good to see you Ian & Shirley, even if I did not remember you... well it was 3 - 4 years ago since we last met...:rofl:

You shouldn't have gone to all this trouble Mo, i was only coming for the weekend.

Worry not in that respect, all his efforts are being channelled into trying to attract Management and me. After all he desires a quality clientele, I think. :clap2:

Ok, then no personal invitation, but we would absolutely insist on a magnificent arrival celebration. Bunting, candles, cake, nibbles, gallons of lightly chilled, band playing, crowds cheering, an archway of roses, you know the sort of stuff.:gum: :sun:

@old-mo Mo beware willows , weeping and otherwise , we had many and they grow like fury creating a great deal of shade and tons of leaves in the Autumn . From the surplus branches useful logs for woodburners once dried for a year.
On our perimeters we planted some poplars , happy with wet feet and grow fast , no pruning as they go straight up and 8 to 10 feet apart give a good windbreak although need to be away from pitches etc ax also create shade.
Alders also like wet ground and not quite so vigorous but seeing mature oaks probably not over wet.

You're doing a grand job , looks great.

The Willows and Popular are being planted well away from the camping area and not going to block the sun, Bruv... (y)

Just want them to drink as much water as possible cos it is always water logged where they are going... :(

Then willows are your tree. The roots will travel many, many meters for water and the slightest weep from a sewer pipe will see it broken. But as the chappy said, they will create a huge pick up job when they drop. Don’t put their logs on an open fire, even if we’ll dried, because they can spit and mark the floor/carpet. Managements mum had one come down in the recent high wind, it made a bit of a mess in her normally beautiful garden.

Poor pictures but .......

Don't know if you know or it might even be what you are doing, but you don't need to buy willow and poplar trees , just find a mature tree and cut some small branchs off about an inch or two through, stick them in the ground where you want a tree and they will grow with no more attention

@old-mo are you going to have a HOT TUB in the leisure area ray xx lol still lol or you could put a bath in place and us funsters could fart in it :doh::moon2::moon2:

I wouldn’t bother visiting, no bar and no pool.........but I did suggest that if these facilities were made available, I’d go again, even if just for the MOST fantastic fish n chips in the pub which is a darn long walk, took us at least 2 minutes walking slowly.........however, the hosts weren’t all that bad:p

Love and thanks to you both (y)
See you in the sun one day

Mo ... if you want some willow cuttings let me know as I have a stonking 'wiggly willow' in my garden (ie willow contorta or summut!) which would look lovely and drink loads of water for you! I'm sure I could send you some cuttings in the post!

No probs Mo-mo! We're in Spain until the end of March anyway. :D

We've had our share of weather 'extremes' ... we had minus 5 with 4" of snow fall overnight when we were at Banassac La Canourgue (France) approx 40km North of Millau, then 2 days later at Colera beach (Spain) we had 25 degrees ... today we've had 20 degrees and are currently near Denia (Spain) going slowly south ... not that I'm trying to tease you of course!

Got all the tree`s planted....

And a whole lot of scrub bushes cut down...

All :thanks3: to a visiting "Funster" who got done what would have taken me a month of Sundays in two day`s ... :drinks:

Also he moved a ton of log`s from the "Workshop" out to a bit of spare land..

And now I can get most of me toy`s in the workshop all barring 4 trailers and a Harrow, which can live outside....

Unless I evict Judy and her car from her garage.. :giggler:

Just got to put some of the kitchen cabinets up in the workshop to tidy it up a bit when the new kitchen is fitted in a few weeks..
